I can count on one hand the eyeliners/shadow sticks that actually meet my high expectations, and this one made it to my top three (with Physicians Formula and Cargo Swimmables), despite having purchased at least two dozen, including high end and K-beauty. I selected Smokey Quartz, and I love the dark pearlized color, which is great for an every day professional look (see photo). Easy to apply, buildable, and before it sets (warning - happens in seconds on me!) I smudge out a little wing. I use these as a liner on the top lids of my dark brown eyes and I rarely wear mascara or other eye makeup so these need to do the trick in making me look pulled together in two minutes. The effect is very nice and does not budge, smear, crumble, or flake during a long work day (just the outside corners wore off a little bit many hours later, but nicely) - no crumbling, flaking, irritation, raccoon eyes. They are wider but there is a built in sharpener for a finer point. Ponds (I like fragrance free) takes it all off every evening with no issues. I am going to buy black and hope it is the same great experience. These are worth every penny. I wonder why these aren't sold at Ulta. UPDATE: love black too!! Read more

After several purchases of Laura Gellar KAJAL eyeliner, this is the perfect color. The charcoal was really too dark, almost black. Dark brown is ok but the Twlight is perfect for my auburn hair and fair skin. Website is really poor in IDing colors. Now the Twlight arrived today and since it is perfect for me, I immediately tried to order another one and that color is unavailable, probably discontinued! The other colors, with the exception of the bronze brown( too dry and clumsy application) are ok but not the best. Laura Gellar needs a better website upgrade. IMO! Read more

Once the eyeliner’s tip wears down, not too many uses after I began using it, I sharpened it.....worked another couple of times and then the tip is so large there is no way to line your eyes. It’s goes everywhere, onto bottom lid, all over the top lid. It’s a disaster. The tip is too fat to fit into the sharpener. I was so excited to find this Laura Gellar Kajal eyeliner in deep ocean on Amazon!! I had run out of this recently and was unable to find it in department stores. I know the cost might seem a little expensive but believe me it is worth it! Living in a humid area, this eyeliner stays in place all day and does not smudge!! I use Kajal liner from Revlon and NYX, and I thought I'd give this brand a try. It is horrible.The brown color (Smokey Quartz) is sparkling with gold flecks. I don't want or need sparkles. I couldn't get a smooth solid line. The pencil is too wide, and my underline looked like a big messy mess. I understand it has to be smudged a bit, but I like a little straight color.I used the pencil only once and the tip is already rounded. I thought I'd like that it can be sharpened, but does it have to be sharpened after every use?I think it is not worth spending more than what I pay for my Revlon or NYX pencil.* I write reviews to let you know how this product was for me. and to aid you in making your decision, to buy or not buy.
