I'm extremely disappointed in this product. I assumed that these would be strong hair bands based on the reviews and description, but what was delivered to me is exactly the opposite. In less than a day's use, this hair band is extremely stretched out. It started out with a nice hold, but I have had to take it out and redo my ponytail several times today because it keeps loosening. My hair is thick and moderately curly, but is by no means difficult to contain. I have had higher quality and longevity in dollar store hair bands. When I ordered a few clips from the France Luxe website, they sent me a sample of this. I loved it, so I bought a pack of them here to have extras on hand. Well, I hate them. My old one is way better than this new version, even after being used for over a YEAR. The new one isn't any better than a Goody or Scunci.I have attached pictures. The old one is on the left (smaller bead) and the new one is on the right (larger/longer bead). The old one is more stretched out when it's not being used, but the newer one stretches out a lot while being used. The old one looks fuzzy but the entire thing has a lot of elastic on the inside, and the newer one is mostly the fabric weave.The Amazon seller I bought this from was France Luxe itself. I checked the Nordstrom and France Luxe website and you can see that the "L Erickson" is in block letters (vs the cursive on the older one in my picture). This is my second attempt at posting. I want to post a non-positive review because the product I received had something like "KNNCKKI" on the bead instead of "L. Erickson," which was what I wanted to buy. The bands were packaged in a ziplock-type baggie. I see that my particular set shows the bands turned so the beads are not visible, while most others show the beads. Maybe that is a clue for other potential buyers.My first attempt at saying this was rejected, which was odd and more than a little disturbing. I am trying again, wording things more carefully. I have given one of these to 5 of my friends and they are all hooked now too. It is my go-to gift for girlfriends. Not a WOW gift at first but after about a week my friends call me up about how great this product is. Read below for my overly detailed review of them.These are so underrated. I feel like I've stumbled upon a next generation of hair tie. I was having a lot of hair breakage right at my ponytail line. I run a lot so my hair bouncing in one of those old regular style hair-ties was just breaking off. This hair tie is superior- I've actually noticed my hair getting thicker now that I don't have breakage. It also comes in so many colors that blend right into the color of your hair. The thickness of the hair tie also raises up your ponytail and makes it look like you spent time on a trendy up-do. I threw out all other hair ties and refuse to use any other type. It is saving my hair!! Another bonus is they look cute on your wrist. I hated the look of hair ties on my wrist but people actually mistake this one for a bracelet when I have it on!! Because they are a little pricey I am careful not to lose them and after a workout I just rinse them in the sink or shower. Once you rinse them it gains back all elasticity. I will say that after about 3 months they get a little loose and you have to wrap it one extra time around your hair. I sometimes do that or I just order more, depends on your budget because when they do loosen they still work great- it never looses ALL elasticity just gets to a point where you need to wrap one extra time- no big deal. These are my favorite hair ties of all time. I initially received these as a sample in one of my monthly Birchboxes. I loved the sample I got so much, that I went to Amazon and ordered this pack. I gifted several of them to my little sister, and kept the rest. I love these because they are 100% PAINLESS and do not get tangled in my hair! They also do not caused my hair to crease whatsoever. I can easily put my hair up for a short time, and take it back down without causing frizz or kinks in my hair. Also, this works for any type of hair - thick and textured, or thin and fine. My hair is very fine and thin, but these still work great and hold my hair in place. These hair bands also last FOREVER - I've had one for two+ years and it has only just started to become less elastic, but even so, it's still very usable. I highly recommend these!! Read more

I have long, thick, wavy hair that just can't be contained by a standard ponytail holder. They either snap or get stretched out to the point where they are useless so ponytail holders are typically a one-time-use for me. When I first saw the L. Erickson ponytail holders I was really hesitant to buy them despite the rave reviews, because of the price. However, I'm glad I finally bit the bullet and bought them. They are beefed up versions of the standard Goody ponytail holder and actually hold my hair in a ponytail without having to re-tie my hair constantly throughout the day. In the picture I have an L. Erickson compared with a Goody ponytail holder. The two on the top are brand-new, never used and the two on the bottom are ones that have been used one time. Because of the angle and the fact that it's closer to the camera, the one on the bottom left may look like it was stretched out a bit, but it really hasn't, and still hasn't after multiple uses.I took off one star because of the prohibitive price. I wish they would sell these in a 2 or 3 pack so if someone was unsure about them and wanted to try them they could buy just a few. Also, I can't imagine how long it will take me to use 8 of these, since I've been using the first one daily for a week now and it's still as good as new! I had one of these in blue and white a few years ago and it was super-soft and did not pull any hair, and so I bought these. Unpleasantly surprised by them. Not soft at all and the attachment piece/ clasp is actually breaking my hair while putting up my hair. On the plus side they haven’t loss their metallic shine nor band elasticity. Read more

I love this product! For years I have struggled to find a hair elastic which holds my thick hair in place and can be used multiple times without snapping. I have been using these elastics for over 2 years now and have not once had one snap on me. They are also great because they do not loosen throughout the day.
