My knees have been killing me for about 3 and half months. Started with the left and the right came later. I've been taking turmeric religiously. It really wasn't doing too much for the pain. I've read about glucosamine chondroiton before. For some reason I thought it wouldn't be for me. Then I became desperate because of the pain. I'm not much on going to the doctor because I suffer from lgmd. And the going and the waiting and the going again is just a pain for me. But geez I was close to going. I told myself if this product didn't help, I was going to have to go. After a week of taking the Kirkland's my knee pain started to diminish. I've been taking it for about two weeks now and it gets better everyday it seems like. And it's slowly working it's way away. Hopefully completely! I can't be 100% it was this that did it. But I didn't change anything with my routine except for taking it. I almost forgot what life was like without knee pain. It was taking over my life. I hope I continue to get better and I'm definitely going to keep taking it. So if you're curious if this is for you, I don't know, but you should for sure try it. As for the pill size... they are a little on the big size. But I easily cut them with a knife on the serration in half. They are totally easy to swallow then. I haven't tried to swallow one whole, so I can't comment on that. On the vanilla scent or coating or whatever it is, I agree it's totally unnecessary. Disappointed as work in Emergency Room and this product recommended by one of the physician. Highest rated on Consumer Report. Received it with outer plastic seal missing but in bag. Would have considered keeping except when opened the inner seal below the cap was also torn completely off and inside the cap. This could not have been a mistake or mishandled. Not sure what happened with it. Immediately notified seller within minutes of receiving. Got an email about setting up return next day but have not heard anything 3 days later. I may amend my rating if this is fixed soon however between product and shipping because was not on Prime payed a steep price but was willing to do so because of the recommendation. This has been amazing! I am recommending it to everyone I know and just bought some for my mom who is in her 80s. Im only in my 40s but was having a lot of joint pain especially in the knee I had ACL surgery on. I don't hobble to the bathroom in the middle of the night anymore or hear my knees crack going up and down stairs. I can't believe the difference! I'm not sure about the question about flavor. Its a pill. You swallow it. There is no flavor. I haven't tried chewing it but I'm not sure why anyone would do that anyway. If you have trouble swallowing pills, just break it into smaller pieces.
