Our 3 year-old son is pretty big into super heroes lately. Plus, he's large for his age. He is over 40 lbs and I wanted him to be in a 5 point harness seat for at least a few more years. I came across the Kids Embrace seat and was thrilled to find that their harness goes up to 65 lbs. We surprised him with this car seat the day that he was released from the hospital (don't mind his hospital clothes in the photo - we had ran out of all of his changes of regular clothes!) and he was SO excited! The seat was relatively easy to install, though it does take some time and patience to ensure that you are getting it in securely without any slack in the seat belt. I secured it with our vehicle's self-locking seat belt as opposed to the LATCH system as LATCH maximum weight limit is lbs when the car seat weight and the child's weight are combined. Being that our boy is already 40+ lbs, I figured we might as well start getting used to just using the seat belt to secure the seat. I don't feel that this seat was any more difficult to install than any of the other seats we have had for our 3 children. We have used Britax, Graco, Evenflo, and Safety 1st. I think all car seats take time and patience to ensure proper installation.My favorite thing about this seat? The cupholders! They are ginormous! They fit all types of cups perfectly - big around and deep. I don't have to worry about cups falling out or spilling with these cup holders. I will say, the fact on this is pretty realistic, so when you first install it prepare to be a little startled when you catch a glimpse of it from time-to-time.Another thing, I love Kids Embrace and the fact that they care about their customers. I posted the photo of our guy in his seat on Instagram and received a reply from Kids Embrace wishing him a quick recovery. The media could not be loaded.  I have TWO of these seats and they both do the same thing. The red release button to loosen the straps for the LATCH system, is not pressed in, yet the straps loosen. So the moment I install the seats, my son gets in the seat, it is already too loose from just the movement of him getting in and out. A car seat should not wiggle more than one inch from side to side if installed correctly.Completely unsafe!! I would think one Is just an issue with that particular seat but TWO belts on two diff car seats do this, which makes me think this isn’t just a fluke. Read more

My son was sooooo excited about this car seat. We installed it and have had it for about a month now. It’s a sick looking car seat!! Very colorful and looks well put together but, Whenever I look back at him he is leaning forward (the straps come loose) and the chest piece slides down. He is 3.5 so this is not our first set of car seats. Then the other day he said “mommy my buckle isn’t clipped in”. I looked back and sure enough one of the clips for in between his legs had come out. I know if you even have the tiniest bit of fabric between the buckles at all it will not clip in. So for this reason we are sadly returning it. We are still waiting on the approval and he is very sad about it. But my sons safety is the first priority. I bought this big boy booster seat for my four-year-old son and he absolutely loves it! He had outgrown his car seat but I wasn't ready for him to not have a 5-point harness. This offered the perfect solution! We wound up getting three of them, one for my husband's and my vehicles and one for Grandma and Grandpa. Each of us has a different character and he loves them all! Before I bought this car seat I did a lot of reading and search info to make sure it will be a good purchase then I decided to buy it for my son because he loves captain America and I did not think it was too pricey. My grandson was out growing his car seat, yet needs to stay in a 5 point harness for a few more years yet. He has said his oldbseat was more comfortable because the seat had a more reclined position. There is an adjustment on the bottom that you can set that will fix this. I love seeing the added protection of his head/neck from the possibilty of a side impact position. True Mom Review. My kids is nutso about this. He literally sat in it all weekend and wouldn't allow me to install in in my car until the last minute this morning. It really is something to behold, solid in build and seemingly comfortable. It I had one thing to say from the mom standpoint is that the arms don't move and that makes for some interesting getting in and out of the vehicle. I have an SUV so that helps but in a compact car situation, these might be a little to much hence the 4 stars, because otherwise my 6 year old child thinks that this car seat is the bomb.com! My daughter Loves Captain America. The design is super cute and the cup holders are awesome. The straps are awful. It’s almost impossible to pull them tight enough, and the center buckle is too close to their legs it’s dangerous. My daughter is slim so her legs are not chubby. And clipping the seat in is also very difficult and it’s impossible to pull them tight enough as well. I’d pass on this seat to be honest. Read more
