I bought these because I brush my Miniature Schnauzer (14 pounds) teeth every day. Finding a brush with soft bristles so you do not cause gum bleeding and yet clean the dog's teeth is about impossible. I would think, these would be wonderful for a child and highly recommend them for people with small dogs as they are soft soft.I tried about five kinds on my dog and she was intimidated, these, she seems to have no problem with. Our church prepares "Dental Hygiene Kits" for local low-income families. In children's size, these are clearly the best quality toothbrushes for the price. Almost all the adult toothbrushes come in assorted colors. For some reason Colgate does not foresee multiple children living at the same household, and makes one color only in their bulk packages for children - Yellow.
