Got this as a Christmas gift for my 4 month old niece. I think this may have been her favorite gift and because she was so interested in it, her 2 1/2 year old sister tried several times to get it away from her. The number of pages is somewhat disappointing but at this age I was just happy to find something she liked so much. The teething star and circle were in her hand the whole time during her visit, she's not teething yet. The spine is black and white and the black is rubberized. This was one of my daughter's favorites when she was a baby. She absolutely loved the scrunchy pages and all the different textures. I got this as a lightning deal and otherwise probably wouldn't have purchased this if I would have had a chance to look at it. I wasn't all that impressed with the pictures and textures as they weren't all that stimulating, or so I thought! I bought this for my little guy when he was about 6 months old. I loved the bright colors, textures, crinkling sounds and softness of the book.He didn't play with it until just recently at 10 months old. He's really into books now, so he'll crawl over and grab it from the toy basket and start turning the pages. LOVES the crinkling sound and chews on the soft pages.I finally figured out that if your baby isn't into something, just put it away and re-introduce a little bit later. Read more

Something is very strange about this product. I got one for my baby registry and a friends baby liked it so much I have it to her and bought another one. The second one I received was different!! It was like a knockoff! The textures weren't correct and it didn't have a squeaker in one of the pages I was so disappointed!!! Read more

This is a great quality soft book a cut above most of them out there with the dangly plastic star and circle the teething corners on the front page (super useful) and a thick plastic/rubber spine. The different textured animals are really good too. However I was looking for an amazing baby soft book I'd seen at a friends with a mirror covered with a lift up babys face and this was not it. Kept it anyway because its a good book to take places keept in the change bag and my baby loves it but I would not have paid 15 pounds for this one. Read more

My son has a few soft books but for some reason doesn't care for this one. The only thing he enjoys is chewing on the plastic circle attached to the string and unfortunatly it's not even made from teething material. I like the sensory stimulation concept of the book. Every page is a crinkle page and contains different textures and materials although I don't personally find the illustrations and textures very stimulating. Its also not very soft and has a hard plastic spine. It contains 3 pages, a bit over priced for what you get. The Vtech soft book get much more use in our home. Read more

I liked the book and all the textures it includes, and the cute design, but when I cleaned it the black part (the "feel and learn" square) came off in little pieces. With my baby chewing things all the time, I didn't want any to get into her mouth. I would buy it if they can get rid of that material. Read more

My 4 month old tends to get tired or annoyed with certain toys after playing with them for a short while but she seems to like this book. Comes with many bright colours and textures for her to enjoy. I can see that she's mesmerized by some of the pages when playing with it. Also, she loves to put this in her mouth so it's good that this can be easily cleaned. Read more
