I'm not a kid at 74. I bought this to go around the corner of 2 shelves in my garage that were located right outside the door connecting the back hall and the garage. I used another extra soft brand (SXCtech) which was currently out of stock and maybe discontinued, and this looked like a good replacement, but the problem is that it's got a very small side and a very long side, which doesn't quite fit the description or my desk. The other problem is that the old stuff came with 3M very sticky double side tape, and this does come with doubleside sticky tape, but it's not at all sticky. The other stuff I had to be careful not to touch because it would stick to my fingers but this new stuff is like a sticky note and makes the cushion come off while in application.I returned the product as I can't see a way that it meets my needs or that it matches the sellers information on it. Ok, I wanted something that was stiff but soft and that would stay put and this fit the bill! I was hesitant because a lot of things aren't as good as they say or you hope but this product rocks! I am going to be buying more of this stuff for sure! I don't have young kids but wanted something for my cube shelf that sits next to my bed since when I'm sleeping my arm sometimes rests on it and this is working perfectly! I plan on using the rest of it on a board I added to my patio table that my arm rests on so I won't have that board cutting into my arm when I'm sitting at it on my laptop or reading. I put this on the front edge of my new desk. It has just enough cushion to keep the edge of the desk from pinching nerves in my arms when I rest my wrists or elbows on the desk. It also keeps things from falling off my desk. It would definitely be adequate for the advertised purpose, keeping small children from running into sharp edges. Note: KidKushion makes the standard (#5034)and the jumbo (#6042,this product). The standard is thinner and about 3/4" x 3/4". The Jumbo is about 1.25" x 3/4", thicker and has a nice sculpted look. I perfer the jumbo. It came as 3 rolls each in a bag 6' long each. I did not use the tape that came with it, I use the Contact type tape that is removable. I holds very well. I also will be using some of these outside, we'll see how well they hold up. (Seller says "indoor/outdoor" I'm hopeful.)It's very soft and pliable and will go around weird shapes. We used these bumpers on square steel tubes for earthquake proofing under our sun deck because the tubes are at head level and few bumps on the head was enough for me. Well, I bought this for my cat. She has a favorite window and occasionally misses the edge and was leaving marks. While it doesn't fix the mark (not why I bought it) it does help her get a better grip while saving the widow trim. She also missed her jump far less with it as she can grip it better. Read more
