The cushion is great- my daughter has already taken a few spills by the fireplace and is unfazed because this broke the fall, so it certainly accomplished its main task handily. The tape that comes with it is no good, and I had to go buy some new tape to adhere it to my fireplace. No biggie- I needed it for other things anyway. I got an outdoor tape- works well enough but I'm already needing to replace some of it after about 5 mo. Our fireplace is brick, so things loose their stickiness because of the dust of the bricks. We have a rather large section of fireplace that is exposed and impossible to block. Our daughter started walking at 10 months old and immediately was drawn to the brick (because they are magnets to dangerous locations). As many others mentioned, the included double stick tape is not nearly enough for the project. We purchased some additional double side tape, 2 sets of these and covered the edges of the fireplace. We even used a little extra to place on the edge of a wood window sill that our daughter liked to play with and pull the wood off. It worked great there, too! She does like to bite the foam sometimes, but we have not had any problems with it coming off, breaking apart or anything else. We have it for several months now and it still works great. Read more

These were very helpful when the boys were younger. We had a couple steps in a common area of our house and these helped protect the boys from any potential harm whenever they'd fall near the steps. The foam is thick and cushiony. The brown color somewhat matched our hardwood floors. The only downfall is the adhesives. They are not very strong and the boys were able to rip this off the steps with ease. After continuous reattaching, the adhesives wore out and they eventually would just fall off on their own. I used these edge guards on a exposed wood beam in my daughters room. I did not attempt to use the tape included since the beam is not a smooth, finished surface. I chose to install it using contact cement. It applied the cement to both surfaces and allowed to dry. (about 5 min) the bumper installed in about 20 min for all 4 sides and drying time. It has been on for about 4 months and has not budged even with my toddler occasionally pulling on it. These bumpers are nice and large are give a great element of protection for busy toddlers. I expect when I remove this I will have the sand off the contact cement. But that's a small chore in the future that I accept to keep my daughter from needing stitches. My toddler as a window seat in my toddlers room & it looks awesome. The wall I applied it to is an eggshell Color & the opposite wall is chocolate so it matches great. Anyhoo, The edge of the seat was really sharp & literally the day after I installed it my toddler ran into his room & smacked his face on it when he tripped. since our tables are somewhat colored brown or cherry i looked for edge cushions that will go along the color of the furniture so it won't look awkward and pretty happy to find one like this. it served its purpose to protect kids from bumping into the hard part or corners of the furniture plus its not noticeable because it goes along with the color of the furniture Read more

it provides good protection but for some reasons, using double tape to attach it to sharp corner but double tape does not hold it long. it comes off every 2 months. don't think it is tape issue. but the rubber is not flexible so it unbend itself and pulls away from the adhesive. Read more

We got this after our son took a tumble into the corner of his bedroom dresser and actually cut his cheek open. The padding is nice and thick, and the color blended well enough into his dresser that it wasn't glaring us in the face: PADDING HERE! I like that it comes in different colors. However, the adhesive is absolutely horrendous, and even if it was better, there's not enough of it. We ended up buying a different double-sided tape from a local crafts supply store. Read more
