This bed is a perfect boy toddler bed, it’s bright colors and sporty car design had my grandson super excited. He hasn’t slept in his own bed for months, he’s now sleeping in his new big boy bed. It took me some time to assemble, almost 3 hours, but directions are good, some of the nuts and bolts were missing from the package, but I found them floating in the shipping box. The paint scratches sooo ridiculously easy. It does look nice when you first open it. But God forbid you have to move it across the room and scrape the wall. The paint just peels right off. The shelf part on the "bumper" of the car peeled away totally and looks awful so I cover it with stuffed animals. For the price I thought I would be getting something more valuable. Was a little time consuming to put together and had some frustrating moments. It doesn't feel sturdy or really solid to me, but it works and is safe and my 3yo loves it. Read more

This bed is so cute! BUT, if I had it to do over, I'm not sure I would have bought it for my grandson. As has been mentioned by others, the step is slippery and the ledge of the footboard can cause painful bruised chins as well has the overhang at the headboard (you have to look close for this). I bought the non-skid pieces to put on the step and some pipe insulation which was easily cut to size for the head and foot rails. He climbs on with much more confidence now and it looks just fine. The bed is so cute, the pipe insulation isn't really noticeable. I was able to put it together in a few hours as I took my time with each step. No frustration whatsoever. First of all my son loves his new racecar bed. And I do recommend it, but only if you are clever enough to work with issues in manufacturing. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to put it together, but this was mainly because of strange obstacles I had to work around. The wheels are what hold the bed up off the ground, but one wheel didn't have enough holes screwed in it. And the wooden planks used to support the mattress were not long enough to be able to screw in on both sides. But other than that, it wasn't bad for the money. Read more

Without paying $500 or more this bed is the best bang for the buck. Pretty easy to build although some of the pieces don't exactly match up but it still works and doesn't affect anything. Only thing I wish it had was some sort of no slip on the front step climbing into the bed. With socks on my son sometimes slips climbing in but he is only 20 months old. My husband had some difficulty at first putting it together but once he figure it out it only took him 30 minutes to put the piece together. I don’t know people say it takes two hours or an hour, they must not put items together that much. We will see how sturdy it is over time but we are very pleased our child loves his new bed as it was an early Christmas present. It does scratch a little easy but it’s to be expected it’s wood and not plastic so take your chances 🤷🏼‍♀️ not that big of a deal for us though. Best 180 I’ve ever spent for our little guy! As a teacher I find kid craft to be amazing and I love all their products and what they have to offer!! One of the reasons I’m not giving five stars is the box arrived open and not sealed. The delivery guy was super sweet and helped me get it in the house... but other than that. All the pieces were in the box and nothing was missing. This bed is amazing! It was fairly easy to put together. My husband only helped me for one part of it. It looks amazing. And it definitely doesn't look cheap. The pieces are all painted. No stickers. And it just looks great. The only complaint i have was it took a while but I still give it 5 stars! Great purchase! Although the bed looked great at the point of purchasing, things quickly went down hill when trying to assemble.The finish on each individual piece of the bed is great - quite a glossy finish and I loved the attention to detail - each screw, nut and bolt is clearly labelled and even the heads are colour coded to the piece they are being screwed into (so no obvious screws show when completed).However, on step 15 of 16, where you are required to bolt the front half of the bed to the back, it quickly became apparent that the two bits were never going to line up. The 'racing decals' on each side were massively out of alignment, and on the left hand side (where you a re required to put a 'foot' to support the middle of the bed, the pre-assembled parts done at the factory were not correctly constructed. I then had to go and undo everything thing I had done. From start to finish, I wasted approximately 3 hours.2 weeks later, and having to argue with BedsBedUK (the seller in this instance) for a full refund, this piece of junk is still clogging up my hallway waiting to be picked up. BedsBedUK are very unprofessional and I would advise you not to buy from them - their argument is that they are merely "middle men" in the whole process.So on that basis, buy direct form KidKraft if you really have your hopes set on this bed and deal with them directly if you can. Bed itself fine apart from arriving with a few scratches and the holes not all lining up 100%- required a few small drills to fit perfectly. Seems pretty solid once assembled and it's nice and low.Expect maximum delivery window- I had problems with mine and communication with seller could have been a lot better.All said my two yr old loves it telling us 'he is the driver' and has been very happy to relinquish is cot ready for a baby sibling! Good bed came with everything brilliant instructions really simple! The only downfall was the bed frame was quite damaged from transit and have a few scratches here and there! Should have sent it back really but once up I wasn't taking it all back down again! Read more
