Its behavior is pretty unique in that it sets up/becomes more firm after a few moments.[Let preface this with the fact that my hair is fine, Caucasian-lIke = bodyless]I typically use this when my hair is shorter than I typically wear it (I'm a male, with a typical guy shorter-hair cut). Let me contrast its behavior with Sumotec from B&B: 1) night rider is more firm than Sumotech once it sets up. 2) Sumotech has a more pleasant scent.When I want my longer haircuts to sport a roughed up look, I use Sumotech, because the hold capability of knight rider is strong enough to leave my fine hair looking a bit wanky when it's longer.When I want the same look (roughed up, not wanky) with my shorter haircuts, I use knight rider.Knight rider does a much better job of maintaining the level of firmness throughout the day, regardless of humidity, regardless of any sweat related dampness, etc.It surprisingly washes out effortlessly ; knight rider is a pretty cool, well engineered, hair product. I suggest that if you're considering it that you pull the trigger and buy a tub at least once. Give it a try, remember that it gets more firm after a few moments, and if you apply another time, the firmness increases. Btw-it is NOT a hard/fragile hold. You can reruffle your man-do time and again thru the day, or tone it down for a business meeting with the Grand Poobah of Muckity Muck. I'm a fan. Read more

Normally Night Rider fills the container, and has a sort of "poured" quality to it, with a smooth surface.This product looks like garbage. There's not enough of it, it's a weird puck, there's a texture to it that's wrong... And let's not forget how overpriced it is on Amazon.I do not recommend buying this product from Amazon. I take pride in my hair, which also translates on the products and time I invest on it. I've tried tons of products from WalMart brands to respectable brands such as Suavecito. This product and brand, in general, isn't the most cost friendly product, from face value of dollar. The value and quality of this product is definitely respectable though. Very difficult to evenly spread through hair, but if you do manage it does have a strong hold. The container it came in had a completely broken hinge though, apparently fairly flimsy, so it couldn't firmly close and over a couple weeks the paste just ended up shrinking and drying up into a useless brick. For years I’ve tried all the styling pastes I could find online and at the store and all of them left my hair either looking greasy or just didn’t hold up at all. This paste is matte so your hair doesn’t look greasy and the hold lasts all day. Read more

I am very disappointed with the quality of this product. I’ve used this product many times. However, the one that was sent to me was clearly dried out and expired. I can barely use it. It’s clumpy and extremely dry. Which is very upsetting for the high price point. I will not be ordering from here again. Read more

Best hair product I’ve used, and I’ve been searching and trying tons of different ones for a while. I have longer hair on top and undercut sides (think peaky blinders), and this product is perfect for slicking back, gives a great hold and perfect texture.
