I've been buying this shampoo regularly for over 4 years, as well as the Silk 18 conditioner. I received a new bottle last month, and I knew immediately after opening it that something was wrong. It smells like industrial chemicals! I sent an email to Maple Holistics to inquire about it, who claims a response within 3 business days. It's been 5 and I've had no response. Since I got no response, I asked Amazon for a replacement. I received my replacement bottle today, and it too smells like industrial chemicals.I gave Maple Holistics the benefit of the doubt and gave them a chance to solve the problem through customer service, and they failed. I thought perhaps I got a single bad bottle, but the fact that I got 2 bad bottles from Amazon a month apart shows the problem is much more extensive than a small-scale bad batch.My conclusion is that Maple Holistics has serious quality control issues, and their lack or response indicates to me that they don't stand by their products. My advice to other shoppers is "buyer beware". I'm never buying this product again, and I will unfortunately need to find a more trustworthy shampoo brand. Read more

We were using Dr. Woods Pure Almond Liquid Castile Soap but, over time, it left our hair dry and scalps itchy. We alternate between this and T-Gel and both the dryness and itching are gone after a few weeks of use. This choice was based on the reviews and that it was natural and, so far, no complaints. It doesn’t have a noticeable odor and that’s a real plus but I can’t say the same for the T-Gel. After 60+ years we’ve tried a lot of shampoos and I can’t say any have been all that exciting or special but if it doesn’t have a smell and our scalp doesn’t itch it’s a winner. It’s expensive for a very small bottle. I didn’t think it was any different than my bottle of shea moisture shampoo or árgan oil shampoo who actually leave my hair clean with no harsh chemicals. I contacted the manufacturer of this brand who has a happiness guarantee to change it for another kind and no response. Basically it’s expensive for a small amount of shampoo that doesn’t really clarify or deeply clean your hair. I LOVE this shampoo; been using it for years. I switched to it after my favorite natural brand went out of business and I've never looked back. My hair is generally some crazy shade of pink, blue and purple and this stuff is fantastic on it. It doesn't strip the color and it keeps my hair incredibly healthy (despite all the bleach and dye it suffers through). I'd recommend it to anyone who has their hair dyed on a frequent basis, especially in the fantasy colors. And, on a total side note, the combination of oils smells wonderful. :) Read more

My first Organic Argan Oil Shampoo/Conditioner that I got on Amazon at a discount for my honest review and I haven't looked back since. I also like the pure Coconut Milk Shampoo. Though I can't find the original brand that I was using for a while anymore, I did my research to find one just as good as it was and this brand has delivered time after time. I usually get the 100%Argan Oil Shampoo and the Conditioner I buy is Argan Oil, Tee Tee Oil and Coconut Oil and the pair is like a luxury spa day for my hair. I don't use this shampoo/conditioner exclusively. I have fine , thin hair that I color treat and heat style regularly and this is the combo I use usually right after dying my hair. It's sulfate and paraben free so it's perfectly safe for my hair color, the Argan shampoo is actually slightly Volumizing and the amazing, quality ingredients in this shampoo prevent my hair from showing the stress out goes through when I dye it or subject it to the blow dryer and curling iron on the same day. I do other things as well as far as hair care goes to keep it looking healthy and vibrant despite the abuse it takes but this shampoo /conditioner plays a big role in that. I highly recommend this.. I'm on my second bottle of this stuff and I love it. My hair is dry, super-fine, very long and thin in some areas. It's prone the oil build-up around my face and also gets very frizzy and frazzled in the humidity or when I use commercial "moisturizing" shampoos. Another problem I run into with most shampoos is getting rashes/sores on my head, neck, and back from all of the various chemicals. I've been on the hunt for a shampoo that effectively cleans while it moisturizes AND doesn't make me break out. This is the one! It has a pleasant scent, lathers great, and rinses clean without stripping my hair. The Argan Oil conditioner that goes with this shampoo isn't quite thick enough, so I use the argan oil shampoo in combination with another natural brand's conditioner. Read more

I bought this looking for a replacement for my favorite shampoo, which I've used for years but has gone up to $22 a bottle, both on Amazon and at the health food store. One reason I bought my favorite shampoo in the first place was because of the fragrance. The Maple Holistics shampoo is a great replacement, helping my fine, dry and abundant color-treated hair look soft and curly without being frizzy or droopy. The only downside I can see is that I dislike the smell of this shampoo, which has a candy-sweet smell like a Justice store, but it doesn't make me sneeze like some fragrances do, and the fragrance isn't noticeable once my hair is dry.
