My middle child is a lice magnet. I think because she is a huge hugger. Anyway, this is the second time in a year she has gotten lice. The first time we used Rid just because I was in a panic and did whatever the pharmacist said. It worked okay, but I hated that I was putting pesticide on my child. Throughout that process I did my research and also learned from experience that combing is the most important step, so I thought I would try a healthier treatment this time since I knew I was going to be very thorough in combing. I bought this and have been very happy with it! It smelled great first of all. I was also able to get all of the lice and nits on the first treatment. With Rid I was still finding them on the daily comb outs I did for a number of days. With this product I found nothing in subsequent comb outs. Yay! I'll still keep combing for a while and we will do the second and third treatment as well just to be safe, but I feel such a weight lifted right now knowing the situation is under control and my daughter wasn't harmed in the process. I had high hopes based on product reviews. I’ll say the item seemed to kill some, but no where near all. I bought 2 bottles hoping. Left on overnight 2 nights in a row after the recommended time did not eliminate. Had live lice crawling a few hours after application. After dealing with lice off and on for at least the last year with my daughter, I haven’t found a lot of things that actually GET rid of the head lice... I struggled with lice a fair amount as a child myself & I have NEVER seen something like this... these bugs are DEAD. Like all the way dead.
