In my humble opinion, Kanka is the best oral anesthetic there is. Unfortunately, I should know. I have the dry mouth, dry nose, and dry eyes that often accompany rheumatoid arthritis. And I use a full face mask for sleep apnea, which makes my mouth drier than the Sahara Desert by morning. Dry mouths lead to cavities. I also have sensitive teeth. Most other oral anesthetics seem water-based, so as soon as applied, your saliva washes them away. Kanka is much thicker. What I do is to “dry” the area of my mouth where I’m going to apply it with a Kleenex, apply the Kanka with its applicator, and then keep my mouth open for a while to allow the Kanka to penetrate the area.The one thing about Kanka is-it doesn’t taste wonderful in the least. I discovered Kanik A abiut a year ago when I was having a tooth ache. I love it. You just stroke it on the tooth that is hurting every 4 hours. It places a sleeve over your tooth. I know one should see a dentist and that this is not a fix, but at times, one must do what they need to do until money arrives! This seems to help me. I will continue to purchase as long as there are tooth aches. My hubby used it on his ingrown toenail and it seemed to numb his toe! Just another way to use it! It worked! I thought he was crazy..
