I have truly suffered for years from a itchy, scaly dry scalp. I have spent a lot of money on prescription medications, dermatologists, every shampoo, conditioner, essential oil, coconut oil, etc known to man. For the first time in years my head is not a salt shaker! It took about 2 weeks for me to notice a difference. I had also purchased the scalp lotion , but I do not like it. Very hard to work into the scalp with thick hair. The shampoo however is very good. Not much odor, it’s pleasant. Takes just a small amount to work into the hair and scalp. Allow to remain for 3-5 minutes. I use this a minimum of 3 times a week, as I have fairly short hair, I work out daily and sweat a lot. Based upon all the amazing reviews I was REALLY hoping this would work for my scalp. Unfortunately, it did the complete opposite. Not only did it leave my scalp dry and itchy it did not remove the sebum buildup, made it worse, right and created little pimple like bumps on my scalp and around my hairline. Also, even with using a great conditioner it left my hair crunchy, not easy to comb through and flat. Ugh! Also note, beside the sulfates, which I really didn’t mind, there is Sodium Benzoate which is actually worse and is carcinogenic. Also the description of this shampoo is VERY deceiving. You think all of those amazing botanicals are going to be in the shampoo and they are not. They are in the scalp lotion which I also purchased. I will write a separate review for that as well. Lastly, it is really disappointing because I am fully supportive of women owned companies as I own one myself. Unfortunately when people don’t practice what they preach, that is really disappointing. I might have found the holy grail for my severe seborrheic dermatitis and possible folliculitis of the scalp. I've tried a plethora of treatment with no relief: castile soap, tea tree shampoo, Nizoral shampoo, Korean mushroom shampoos, Keihl's scalp oil, various other dandruff shampoos, you name it. I feel the difference after only 2 shampooing with this! Instant relief of itchiness, redness, and significant reduction of flakes, and smoother scalp. The bonus is that it smells pleasantly, unlike tea tree shampoo. Definitely will be purchasing again! If you've been searching for a cure, try this out. I don't have dandruff, but I have very flaky skin only on my face. I read somewhere that if you have this issue, you should wash your face with dandruff shampoo. I thought, "What the heck? Why not?" and it works. It took only three days and I can see a huge difference. Just use warm (not hot) water, and a washcloth that's not too rough. Once a day is fine. Read more

This dandruff shampoo far exceeded my expectations.It says on the box - "Clinically Proven to Reduce Dandruff by 50%". But it did way better than that - it helped to reduce my dandruff from a snow storm of dandruff flakes to a VERY small flurry of flakes.The best part is that I can wear my black and other dark color shirts now without embarrassment or constantly brushing off the flakes.Note, I use this dandruff shampoo in conjunction with a scalp lotion from this same brand, Kamedis. I've been using this shampoo for about 3 weeks now and it's working great. I had previously used DHS, which worked well for years, but recently started losing its effectiveness, so I looked for something new. Kamedis so far keeps the itchiness away in between washes (every other day) and the flakes are much less now. Seborrhea never gave me a lot of flakes, it was always more the itch and the crusting that bothered me, so something to keep it toned down is essential.
