I recommend this seat to everyone but especially to those with boys! It's the perfect size to throw in the diaper bag. We've been using this during the potty training process. We bought 2 - 1 for the car and 1 for the diaper bag for those have to go now situations. I put it on top of the seat covers in public restrooms and we also have used it as a seat (with the little bags that go with it) when were on longer car rides. I love that it's multifunctional and portable. It's also easy to clean - we store it on the bag it came with along with a package of Lysol wipes. My son is 2.5 and 33 lbs and it works great for him and he has no issues using it. The pee guard is a good size - it doesn't add bulk but it protects from a pee fountain situation. Read more
I needed a decent travel potty with a high splash guard for my son. This fits the bill perfectly. I love the 2-in-1 functionality. The only minor complaint would be that it does take a decent amount of force to snap the legs into place to use as a stand alone potty. That means that sometimes by the time I've actually unfolded it, locked the legs in place, and put a liner in it my son has had an accident. So for right now, just for the sake of speed, I tend to keep the legs locked in place and a liner already in it so i can just pull it out of our "potty bag" (a 31 zip top utility tote) and it's ready to go. This does take up more room in the bag than having the legs folded, but for us it's worth it so as to avoid accidents. Next I would love for there to be a reusable liner for home use that would work with this model's larger splash guard! Read more
The seat is actually smaller than I expected, but that makes it that much more portable. I got this seat because it had the part for boys, unfortunately my son won't sit on it on the ground. He prefers to sit on it on top of the actual toilet. That's a nice feature that this can be used both ways. I gave it 3 stars overall because I still haven't figured out how to position it on the actual toilet so that there isn't a big mess, but it does prevent my son from getting pee all over me and it makes him feel secure on the toilet seat, even if I have to clean the area around the seat afterwards. It is definitely much more portable and convenient to travel with than the foam seats that don't fold up and the fold up ones don't have the lip for boys. I would recommend this seat for traveling while potty training especially for boys. Read more
This has been a lifesaver on multiple long trips. We’ve had it at least a few months now, and I’m still pleased. It’s easy to use in our SUV, and it’s very handy that it doubles as a potty seat for when we’re visiting family. It is quite short, but our son just turned four, and he’s still quite comfortable using it. Read more
There are three reasons that make this potty unusable:1: when put on the toilet it slides around like crazy. There is no grip at all to hold it in place on top of the toilet seat.2. To convert it into a “sit up” potty on the floor from the folded state takes 5+ minutes. I don’t know whoever invented it, but they clearly never had a toddler who needs to go potty: now.3. When it’s (finally) been assembled into a sit up potty position it’s barely 1.5 inch off the ground/floor. It’s so low, that it can not be comfortable for any kid who’s over 28-30 inches tall.Overall: can’t use on top of the toilet and can’t use as a portable potty. Will be returning. Read more
Overall, I really like this potty seat for traveling. However, it is not the most comfortable seat for my son (he ends up with a red ring around his bottom often from it). That being said he won't go on a public potty without it. My main dislike is that the bottom of the front doesn't go low enough for open front toilet seats and there is a gap left. Several times my son has gone on the seat but it hits that gap and gets his pants wet anyways. Also, I would like if there was a plastic collapsible potty insert that fit this one like the regular potette plus has (i.e no gap). Read more
The seat is small and short! But I bought it for traveling so its compact size is fine to me. Haven't actually used it with the plastic bag, I have been putting it on the regular toilet seat for toddler's potty training. Our toilet seat is elongated so there is space in front and behind this seat but it works pretty good so far, especially the pee guard and the thick front side really help minimize leaks (not 100%) but a lot better than the ones we've tried so far. Beware that it wobbles a bit when placing toddler onto the seat so L.O. was a bit uneasy sitting on it the first couple of times. Read more
Such a great product! We bought this for my four year old son because we had to travel and with this whole COVID situation, I didn't feel safe taking him inside gas stations or rest areas to use the restrooms since he's short and god knows what he'll be touching! We had no issues with using this in the car and there was no leaking and the bags work so well! One downfall is that if you try to use it in your house (on top of regular toilet), it doesn't seem to fit quite right, but that wasn't a big issue for us since we were going to use it in the car.
