Update 8/18/21: I stopped taking these for a while as I was focusing on other supplements for gut health etc... boy was that a mistake!!! My SI joint inflammation flared up and I couldn't figure out why because I have had almost no hip pain in months. I think it was because I wasn't taking these consistently and at the dosage I was used to. Once I got back on them it seemed to calm the pain down almost immediately. I know some people only take one or two a day but I take six, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. I do this every morning and that seems to do it for me. I think you have to find the right dosage that works for you. In some cases that might be more than one or two capsules a day.I was taking the Jarrow brand 1000mg capsules for a while then switched to KalaHealth brand. I started with the crystals first, I could handle the taste (ugh) but it wasn't convenient for me. I take a decent amount of supplements and some I take on an empty stomach. MSM works best for me on an empty stomach so I have it next to my bed. Downing the bitter water was a bit much early in the morning and not easy to do when traveling, so I switched to the capsules. Still works great though, I do take quite a few of them but I have no problem downing a handful of capsules. I did go back and forth with the company on the dosage because I was a little confused. Even though the serving size is 2 capsules, if you look at the label it says 1000mg per capsule. So taking two, which is the serving size, is actually 2000mg. Understanding the dosage per pill was important to me due to the amount of the powder I was taking. I wanted to stay close to the same amount. This is a great product and it is way more effective for me, than the Jarrow brand and has absolutely NO FILLERS in the capsule form. Capsule form without fillers is very hard to find! Read more

I have used other MSM products with success, but I wasn't happy about the " added ingredients" , so when I came across Kala Health's MSM with no additives I was anxious to try it.I primarily bought this for my husband who has been suffering extreme leg and knee pain. The pain got so bad that he could not sit , lay or rise without help, and he had to start taking showers at work because he could not get in and out of our tub here at home, he was waking up at least 4-5 times during the night from the pain.The doctors wanted to prescribe pain medications, to which neither my husband or myself were happy about,but we considered it seriously since none of the joint supplement he tried ( over the counter) were working.Being that I had already known about MSM and had tried for my back pain a few years back and it worked very well so I finally convinced my husband to try it as well.That's when I came across this brand and immediately placed an order.The minute it came I gave my husband 3 capsules, within a relatively short period after taking it, it felt relief,however he was not yet convinced. Works great for people and pets. Right now I am giving one a day to my 12 year old golden retriever and he is doing really well. One day he over did walking and was in bed for two days he was unable to walk!!. I called the vet and right away when I explained his routine that day she thought he may have over did it. She suggest an adult aspirin and to try and encourage him to eat and drink. I was so scared that he would never walk again, I had to lift him during the night and turn him over, that's when I thought I would try the MSM. I gave him one in the morning and at noon he was the same, so I gave him another one, later that after noon I checked on him again and still no change that I seen, so I gave him one more, and by 5 pm he was up walking!!!! A little shaky but walking. Now I give him one per day, and on rainy days when he walks a little stiffer I give him 2 and he is still doing good. MSM is a natural occurring sulphur in our bodies as we and pets age it diminishes and sulphur is required for part of the lubrication process. I have tried Glucosamine and Chondroitin with absolutely no results, but have seen great results in my golden and in myself. I highly recommend this product.with no results, but take MSM works! These capsules are true to their reputation!! When searching for a good, all natural MSM product without fillers, i ran across these!! They've gotten so many excellent reviews so i thought i'd give them a try, and im so glad i did!! They went to work right away on my heel spur and rotator cuff pain. im active again and i love it!! I was a bit skeptical that this would help my particular issues in my shoulder and arms, as it is old soft tissue injuries that I seem to make angry.
