You know there was a time, when the companies made products without chemicals that irritated the skin and or burn it. I have used color for my beard for years and have never, until recently, when they changed the formula, had problems with it - AND NOW, they use a chemical that causes sever itching and irritation of multiple layers of the skin - WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY - did you change the damn formula morons?!! ok..I had to get that out.My advice, don't waste your money on this - find other ways - I might have to shave completely or accept the gray, its far better than to burn my skin every time I used it and itching for 4 days after the use -its a shame. Instead of making the product better and non-iritating, they just put on the label not to use if it irritates the skin. DUH! Read more

Wow, I have been filling in my eyebrows for YEARS. I have dark hair literally everywhere but my eyebrows. I have had them dyed professionally before and it's just not worth the money. BUT THIS! This is cheap, easy, and fast! Even if I have to do this every other week it's worth the 5 minutes. Read more

I have been using JFM shades of brown for over a decade, but never fully liked the color match. Since I'm a white guy with arguably BROWN hair, it never occurred to me to try the black shade. Gave it a shot, and HOLY SMOKES--it looks FANTASTIC! Best color match for my "dark brown" hair yet. Full disclosure--I do not completely dye my beard a solid color, because I don't want to look like a G.I. Joe doll. I slather on some Burts Bees alternative to petroleum jelly first, which covers some of the hairs, but not all. Then apply the dye and it is not able to penetrate the jelly covered hairs--but does get through to about 2/3 of the hair in total. The result is a salt-n-pepper natural look that makes me look about 10 - 15 years younger (my beard is nearly solid white). Also, the jelly helps provide a barrier for the facial and lip skin that can sometimes breakout and react badly to the JFM dye chemicals. Hope this helps. Read more

So I grew a full beard for the first time ever during the covid19 crisis, which is mildy embarrassing for a grown ass man to admit. My normal hair is dark brown which almost looks black when it's wet, so when my beard came in light brown/strawberry blondish I was stunned. I had NO IDEA that was a thing. Being that light made my beard and goatee less defined, so I bought some of this stuff to try and make things match and here is the skinny.First of all it burns. Even if you don't puff up into a big balloon from an allergic reaction, it still has harsh chemicals that at the very best smell strong and will sting your eyes and nose, and at worst burn like crazy on your lips. I had to put cortisone cream on my face when I was done and that surprised me because I like to think of myself as a rough and tumble cowboy. I used Vaseline around the edges and it still rocked my world. SO it burns.Next thing is it's FAST. Almost too fast. It literally takes like 5 mins and it takes two of those minutes to brush it in so you have to start on the lightest stuff first so it gets the extra 30-60 seconds of treatment it needs to balance things out while you make a mad rush to put this stuff on your face. Not the best scenario. If you want to do this for the first time...try to do it in a lighter color than you think you need because it's darker than you think, and faster. Not only that, but it KEEPS getting darker even after you wash it off. It settles in. So if you don't like it...give it some time and come back a handful of hours later, or better yet the next day.My main complaint aside from the health issues..really isn't the and effort it takes, but mainly that it has this way of making your facial hair look fake as can be. You don't realize how even extremely consistent beards have slight variation ..or shading in the color which keeps it natural looking. I looked like a televangelist from the south when I got done. All I would have needed to complete the look was an fake orange spray tan! I still wore it for another two weeks and even touched it up at the roots until I just said screw it and shaved it off.If I had to do it again...I would use the lighter color to get some basic color shifting, and then I would spot treat here and there little by little to perfection because it just looked horribly fake for my face.It also made my beard hair crispy and hard. I used beard oil and all sorts of stuff to try and keep it soft but this stuff just ruins your hair. To have to do it over and over every two weeks or so just wasn't in the cards for me.I wouldn't use it again. It's not worth burning my face, the possible health issues down the line, looking fake, ruining my facial hair etc. But If i did it again I would use the Henna stuff. They say it takes more time, but it's all natural and harmless. I think with the extra time you could really dial it in better. So...never again. But my buddy uses it and it works great for him and what he's trying to accomplish so...??But as for me, if you want one color that's strong and fast, and somewhat painful and dangerous for your health, this is it. I don't think it is a surprise to anyone that this stuff is messy. I cannot do it in the house, invariably I get the dye somewhere else and get yelled at, as the small black droplets are not always easy to find.Otherwise, I find it works very well for me. I tend to keep my beard pretty short, maybe half an inch. So it doesn't take long to dye it, and it only takes one or two applications to figure out how best to apply it.Having said that, this idea is not good for me, I trim my beard every couple weeks, which of course removes all the part that was dyed, so I end up having to use it every couple of weeks, which has become increasing annoying over time. I've personally decided it is easier to shave than to have to deal with trimming my beard, then dying it...then letting it set for several hours, then rinsing out the excess so it doesnt get all over the pillow or my shirt etc etc....then repeating the whole process 2 weeks later. In short, for me, dyeing my beard is just too much of a hassle to bother with, but I feel like the product works very well and does what it says it will. Fast Delivery and as decribed.I have patches of grey in my beard which for some reason appear at different times and the applicator helps you use a small amount as needed. Just squeeze in a small amount from each tube, mix in a corner of the supplied tray and apply using the the brush. If you run out, mix a bit more - no waste. Have used it about 6 times - mixed about half a toothbrush bead each time - and still have most of the tube left - value for money. Results - I noticed that my beard stays dyed super black for longer and is softer than when I used other dyes which may have hasher causing dryness. Also other products are not specifically designed for beards and are single use only. This means you mix all of the product resulting in waste and long term higher cost.I recommend the product.
