So much easier to use when applying diaper creams to newborn baby bottoms. I tried a generic brand of safety swabs, and when I twisted the stick, the cotton tips slide off the stick and stay in place. Johnson's brand cotton holds onto the stick, so you can twist the stick and the cotton twists with it. Read more

They do exactly what they are supposed to do and do that very well. The cotton is soft and I haven't had any issues with swabs having loose cotton tips. Read more

Although I'm not an infant, I much prefer these swabs for drying the water out of my ears when I shower. If I don't I get earaches. The problem with the regular swabs is that they can go too far into the ear. Now they say you shouldn't put anything bigger than your elbow in your ear, but if it's what you have to do to dry them for health reasons, then these are the ones to use. Much safer by far.
