This product, Terrasil has the exact same ingredient, Clotrimazole, and dosage 1% as the leading over the counter product, Lotrimin AF, Antifungal. The only difference is Lotrimin AF is 12g vs 14 grams for Terrasil. Lotrimin AF sells for $8.44 on Amazon Prime with free shipping. Terrasil sells for $19.97 on Amazon Prime with free shipping.. This stuff was very effective on a stubborn outbreak of tinea. Look at the ingredients. They're awesome for treating fungus! And it smells like peppermint beeswax, sort of like burt's bees. Very pleasant and tingly. Maybe a little sticky.Sadly, this stuff is too expensive for me, since the 14g tube only lasted two applications. I wish I could use this to treat it all the way through, as the results were so, so fast, but I had to go back to the cheaper clotrimazole ointments (which DO work for me, just a bit slower and itchier). It's not like there isn't enough in here to treat a normal sized area, it's just that my tinea happens to be all over my anterior torso, groin, and glutes.Even though my time was short with this product, I would try it again if I had a SMALL area to treat. I had a bad case of jock itch and tried the generic brand first. I got no results. Then, I tried Lotromin and it helped a little. Before going to the doctor I decided to try this product and in three days my jock itch is almost gone. Yeah, this stuff works and it doesn't dry out the skin. It's a thick topical ointment that comes out green but goes on clear. I recommend this product. Yes, its pricey but it works. Read more
