I’m so angry about this purchase. We have this bag already for my 2 year olds car seat and we loved it. So I ordered it again. Not only is the discrimination a lie (it has no back pack straps) and the pouch it goes in sucks. I’m so angry and have no time to return it for our trip. They changed the design and it sucks. Great for keeping your stroller clean and offering some protection from damage. Fabric tears very easily and can be fixed with duck tape. The repair has held well for multiple uses (too bad it wasn't made out of duck tape!). We fly frequently and have put this product to great use.Southwest Airlines now offers its own version which is much better quality (and better looking) for only $15 that you can buy at the Southwest Ticket Counter whether you are flying them or not. I just bought my 2nd one of these after my first one got a hole in it after almost 4 years and at least 20 flights. I was shocked to see pretty negative reviews for this product after mine held up so well. (And even if it ripped on the first use, I'd say it's worth it- if the bag hadn't been damaged it probably would have been your car seat!) There are much more expensive and much more protective car seat cases available, so I can see being upset if those didn't hold up well, but this thing is cheap and basically intended to keep you carseat clean- which it does. It also makes the seat easier to carry because it keeps all the straps inside instead of dragging on the ground. I've considered buying a fancier car seat carrier (one that works like a backpack or has wheels maybe), since we take the seat on the plane for our little one so we have to carry it through the airport with us, but until (if) I decide to do that, this cover works great for us! Because I am so particular about my stuff, I actually use this to shield my travel bag from wear and tear. I have the uppbaby mesa and vista travel bags for my car seat and stroller which are pricey bags that have thankfully stayed in excellent condition as I put the gate check bags OVER them! Sounds like overkill I know but my gate check bags have been torn and are full of dirt/grease, etc. I actually may replace them soon. They also pack super small making them easy to bring along. I also don't have to worry about the items getting jostled around inside as the Uppababy bags keep the item safe and protected. So my rec is to actually use these over the bags to keep your existing bags nice and free from germs/dirt! Read more

We used these for a direct flight to and from our vacation. When carrying the bags with car seats inside, the clasps that were intended for closing the bags would become loose and the bags would open right up. After 1 use the bags already had small holes and the clasp to close one of the bags was broken. We checked these bags at the gate and they still had tons wear and tear. After our return flight I doubt I could even use one of the bags again. In my opinion these were not worth the money. I wished I would have paid a few extra dollars and gotten something nicer, more durable and easier to carry. The only nice feature is that they fold up small for storage but again I’d rather have something durable. Read more

Took a trip with my 3 year old. Used this bag for our safety 1st convertible car seat. It works fine enough for traveling and fits but I noticed a small rip in the bag once we got to our destination. Which could have been from the baggage handlers. Also not sure if it’s the car seat or the bag or both but it wasn’t the easiest to get in the bag or get out. Read more

After reading many positive and negative reviews we decided to get this cover for some protection for our car seat during our flights. When you get it, it does say for Gate Check only, not as a regular checked bag. I did tape up the inside seams as some suggested to make them stronger. After our first flight the bag came out in perfect condition and our car seat was fine. I had to re-tape the seams as some of the tape had come undone before our next flight. After the second flight there were a couple small holes but nothing major. Overall it performed better than we expected. It is very lightweight and you can't beat the price. We were taking our grand child on their first major airplane trip and wanted to find a product to protect their stroller and car seat on the plan. Airlines used to provide heavy gage plastic bags, but a lot has changed, so we purchased covers for both the stroller and the car seat.The bags are essentially giant nylon bags into which you put the stroller or car seat. The bags have a nylon strap handle that is flush with the outside -- which makes it easy to carry without it becoming snagged while in baggage handling. The bright red color makes them easy to recognize when they are either dropped off at the arriving gate or picked up in baggage claim.The nylon bags are on the thin side, which makes them flexible and easier to put a stroller into them. The thin light weight also makes them easy to fold into an attached travel pocket -- which is about the size of a paperback book. This keeps them out of the way when not used.The light weight however means that the bags will rip or get holes in them. We took three flights on this trip and one of the bags got a quarter sized hole in it and both bags were dirty from handling. That is both good and bad. Good in the sense that the bag took the brunt of the handling process and bad in that it took some damage.Overall, the bags made traveling with a child easier, cleaner and safer. They may not last long, but they do not cost a lot and provide good protection and value. Read more

The bag doesnt have any back straps so u cant carry it on your shoulders like a rucksack. U can only carry it by holding the handler, which is not so good, because our car seat is quite heavy and it also means my hands arent free for carrying other stuff.I have bought one bag before which have back straps, they are so useful.In terms of the material, it seems thick enough and should be quite durable. This has been brilliant, has kept various car seats clean and tidy while travelling, you can add your name to the bag, there's a handle for your check in label to be attached to. Quick and easy to pack away and upack as you need it.
