This was my first time doing a self tan and I’m beyond surprised by how well it worked😳 how I did mine: showered/exfoliate, applied lotion on, waited till the lotion was dry then applied the tan evenly with a mitten. UPDATE: I uploaded a photo. The one on the left is what I ordered from Amazon. The one on the right is one I purchased from the drugstore within 1 week of one another. Look at the color difference. Clearly this is not the same shade and something is not right.Original review:I normally don’t take the time to make a fuss over something and would simply move on from this, but i truly feel like i was misled or provided a product that was seriously defective or tampered with. I have been using this product for years. This last order arrived and the foam barely had a tint to it. It’s almost as though the bottle says deep dark, but the foam inside the bottle is the lighter shade they offer. I ordered myltipl bottles and they are all like this. When i apply the foam i barely notice any difference. Like i said i have used this for years and i usually get very dark from one application. Actually, if i accidentally drop any of this product on my bathroom rugs, historically it has caused a perm dark stain. I dropped this last bottle on my rug and there is zero stain ;( it’s lile someone switched the product inside the bottle from what is labeled outside of the bottle. ***UPDATE----MAKE SURE YOU ORDER THIS FROM AMAZON and NOT fulfilled by AMAZON. The fulfilled products are watered down and ineffective. I found this out too late for one purchase, since I keep several bottles on hand all year, but, I was able to get my money back for a more recent purchase I had made. Let me say that I have ordered and used this product on multiple occasions and am very familiar with the results to expect. This particular order was totally different. The first time I used it I noticed that it was almost devoid of color. I continued to use it but never achieved the expected results. It was as if the color pigment was missing. I have been using this product for the last few months since I discovered it. Applying a layer before getting your day start or before going to sleep at night-they both work well. Make sure your skin is hydrated before applying and keep applying lotion afterwards and you will maintain your tan for a while! Read more

I was excited to get this, as I had never tried a mousse before. It was easy to put on, and I could tell where I had put it and where I had missed. It has a nice smell and it dried pretty fast. The color was a beautiful, natural looking tan. BUT....It did NOT go on consistently so I had huge color differences, even though when I was putting it on, it LOOKED like it was even. You can't really tell how thick the mousse is on any given spot, unless it's really thick, etc. So I ended up looking like I used a tanner and wasn't very good at it.And since it dries pretty fast, it left my fingers & fingernail beds brown, (tanned??). I washed my hands immediately after I was done, but I still ended up with dark crevices around my fingers.When showering, it turned my washcloth orange. I don't SCRUB, I wash normally, (the same way I would while using my normal tanner and it doesn't do this). So, that's kinda icky.So, I think I will go back to my tried and true, which is "Banana Boat Self Tanning Spray - Airbrush Summer Color for All Skin Tones". This product did give a lovely colour but I felt it left a line that made it look fake. I usually have the lotion which is great and I much prefer that. That said the mousse is easier to apply and dries much quicker. It doesn’t tend to have the fake tan smell like the lotion does either. Read more
