Product Description Jerdon Tri-Fold Two-Sided Lighted Makeup Mirror with 5x Magnification, White Finish Amazon.com High magnification, versatile illumination, and multi-angle viewing make this tri-fold mirror from Jerdon a virtual cockpit of makeup application. Structured for panoramic viewing, the mirror features two adjustable side panels, plus a center section with regular reflection on one side and 5X magnification on the other. Two bars of fluorescent lighting offer cool, glare-free illumination, and the color-correct light menu lights your face for day or evening, the office or home. A built-in outlet accommodates curling irons and roller sets, while an adjustable backstand offers 11 angles to work from. The entire unit folds up flat for storage. Though the mirror does not feel as substantial as the company's all-metal models, it does roll several features into one compact model. In addition, the reflection is consistently clear, and the side panels stay put where you place them. Fully extended, the mirror measures 19 by 12 inches. Jerdon includes a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

Just received Jerdon't classic style tri-panel mirror and am very disappointed with it. I bought it to replace a Clairol True to Light mirror that I’ve used for over 25 years and spent a fair amount of time shopping for a replacement. I thought Jerdon Classic Style model looked close, but it arrived today and it is not at all a suitable replacement.First, the cord is way too short. But worse, it is so light it won’t stay put and slides all over the place if I adjust the side panels, flip the center mirror, change the power switch or the lighting slide bar. A critical feature that put this model above others was the power outlet for my hair dryer. When I use the hair dryer with it the mirror slides all over the place. All of this is bad enough, but I am furious to find that the service number they have on their packaging to call if you have issues is nothing but a marketing scam. That’s pretty sleazy.Beyond disappointed with Jerdon Style and want to warn other Amazon purchasers. Read more

So, you know that makeup mirror that's sitting at the back of the cabinet under your grandma's bathroom sink? This is it. Big, clunky, with strange 90s lighting that's as comical as it is useless. I tried to include photos on each light setting to give you an idea...Day - the only remotely useful setting. It's fluorescent lighting, so it's very bright, but does not come close to what I would consider "daylight" on more modern LED mirrors.Office - PLEASE TELL ME WHO WORKS IN AN OFFICE WITH GREEN HALLOWEEN LIGHTING. I was too annoyed to laugh, but seriously. It is literally green.Evening - if by "evening" you mean "dive bar with low neon sign lighting" or perhaps "strip club" you've nailed it. Pinkish glow, hard to capture in a picture.Home - take the yellowest street light, bottle it up and shine it on your face, and that approximates this one. Really, you might as well sit next to a table lamp with an incandescent A19 bulb with a handheld mirror.Besides the weird lighting (also, does anyone else agree, we don't need 4 settings?? Just the brightest daylight one done well would suffice) the mirror itself is just an odd design. Whole thing is probably 3" thick and provides not one but FIVE separate mirrors (the middle one swivels for greater magnification options), yet the mirrors are recessed and somehow too small despite the enormous product size. Also, the support stand is clearly an afterthought. I can't describe it, and I should have taken a picture before returning it, but it's a long plastic strip that flaps down from the back with a number of ridges upon which a metal kickstand rests. There is no way to secure said kickstand or plastic flap for storage, so good luck even putting the mirror in the closet without the kickstand flopping down, hitting you in the face or knocking stuff off shelves. Someone made this concept WAY too complicated. The cord, by the way, does not detach from the back, so storage is always a puzzle between that and the 2 part support stand. But wait, there's more. Just in case you need to plug something in - nothing that produces heat, mind you, so what else is left? - the mirror has an outlet on the front. WHY.I lasted 4 days with this thing and promptly returned it. Read more

I've bought three of these mirrors in the past 10 years. The lights burnt out on the first two & it costs more to send it back for replacement bulbs than to buy a new mirror. I need the 5X magnification to apply my make-up & this mirror has it along with a really bright light which I love. That's why I put up with buying a new one every few years. However, this last mirror that I bought has really bad optics on the 5X side. Almost seems like a fun house mirror. Fortunately, I did not throw my old mirror away & my husband popped the center mirror out of it & installed it in my new mirror.I bit the bullet & ordered an expensive vanity mirror with 5X from Frontgate (that I have not received yet) hoping that it will give me better service. I sit down at my vanity & apply make-up everyday. It is important to me that I have a mirror with good optics & a bright light. Jerdon has cheapened their product to the point that it no longer functions to meet my needs. I will pay more for quality. Read more

I've used this type of mirror ever since I stared wearing makeup- around 1985 (wow, I'm old) Mom used it, as did all her sisters, so it was a no-brainer for me. Unfortunately, my 20yo mirror fell and broke into a zillion pieces (cuz, after 2 decades, the plastic does get brittle)I'm elated to see that this is identical to the one I had.IMO, no other mirror compares to this. I've tried the 'new' LED ones, and the light they emit is laughable. (srsly-just use a non-lighted one and save your $)The ones with incandescent bulbs give off far too much heat and the light tends to be very yellow, which often has me skipping the bronzing powder, and leaving the house looking like Casper. The light from the F6T5-CW fluorescent bulbs in this are in the 'goldilocks zone' ... not-too-cool, not-too-warm...just right. I rarely use the colour filters, and instead have it set to 'daylight'. The only exception is when I'm going out at night. I'll slide it to the 'evening' setting to check if my makeup is defined enough for low light. The side mirrors are ideal for applying liner to the top lashline and for making sure there is no line of demarcation from foundation on the sides of the face and jawline. In stores, these are usually upwards of $80. But, as usual, Amazon has it for much less. In any case, this is worth every penny as it will last for decades (and really, how many products last that long nowadays?)PROS:•Bright•Ideal light temperature of 4100K•Low heat•Bulbs last for years•‎Side mirrors are handyCONS:•Should they burn out, the F6T5-CW replacement bulbs may be hard to find•‎Would have preferred the main mirror was a side-to-side swivel as opposed to up and down that this has. Read more

I had this Jerdon mirror for over 30 years (since I was a teen). Finally, it did breakdown and I ordered a similar mirror by Conair...what a nightmare. The lights went out within 6 months and had to be replaced. I had to use two additional mirrors as you cannot adjust the Conair model. Finally, I became so frustrated that I ordered the Jerdon mirror again. IT IS PERFECT in every way and even includes a little plug-in outlet. Hopefully this one lasts me 30+ years again and I will never have to order another makeup mirror again! Read more

After reading tons of reviews on a wide variety of mirrors, I settled on this one. Many reviewers raved that the light was very bright. Perhaps I'm too picky, but I didn't find the light bright enough. Plus, the light settings were a bit strange for me. The colouring seemed too extreme. The outdoor setting seemed very orange. I was also looking for a mirror that sat a bit higher so I didn't have to hunch over to look into it. I settled on a different mirror that sits much higher and has 15x magnification on one side which I love. I just take my LED desk lamp and use that as my light. Unfortunately, I returned this one. Just like the ones I used many years ago, it shows every detail (which I wasn't prepared for...) I do like the old school lighting that seems more natural to me than the synthetic bright lights on the more modern ones. Love the bi-fold sides that show every angle and the swivel mirror to see everything magnified. Easy adjustment of the stand for your choice of angle. The lighting has 4 choices, 2 of which cast a very blue or green light and will not be used. The other 2 are more pink and yellow. I do like that it all closes up, but the latch on mine is faulty as it cannot snap shut, so it never fully closes. Overall I would say it's a bit old fashioned with its manual dials etc, but I think I prefer it personally and it certainly does the job. Read more
