I just want to say inositol is by far a life saver! Please please if u have feelings of depression, suffers from anxiety, ocd, intrusive thoughts, or constantly overthink. PLEASE TRY THIS!! For the past 2 yrs since the birth of my son I suffered from anxiety, I constantly worried, I had mood swings that would shift from one min calm and get angry over the slightest things! And get depressed often! I’ve been talking inositol for the past 2 1/2 weeks and I haven’t felt this great in a couple years! I am so calm I am more patient, I don’t find myself overthink or worrying and my husband has constantly telling me how I seem so much happier! I don’t know exactly what chemical imbalances we’re off after I had my son but I refused to use prescription medication and inositol is a diet early supplement and it WORKS!I take 2 teaspoons in a glass of water 3 x a day. Before Breakfast lunch and dinner Read more
I have trichotillomania. It is a compulsive hair-pulling and skin picking disorder. I’ve struggled with it for years, but this product calms me down without even knowing. I simply dissolve it in water and drink it. Whenever I do, I pick at my hair NOTICABLY less. This is the only thing that’s worked for me. Last year, I read about a study of Inositol on people with my condition, and I’m so happy I did. I really recommend this product for anyone with OCD, Trich, or any nervous/compulsive habit like nail biting, etc. also, it doesn’t taste or smell bad at all. It’s mildy sweet but otherwise no flavor. Read more
I have PCOS and took this to balance hormones etc. I was taking 4g a day and at my 6 month follow up my labs show normal levels. My testosterone went from 51 to 20 and my DHEAS is at 209. Also, my face is not as oily, my skin has cleared and I no longer grow that pesky chin hair every month. So glad I went natural as my endo was pushing me to use metformin and spirotolactone. I have PCOS and as the years had gone by my cycles had become less and less frequent. A few years ago my OBGYN put me on high dosage hormonal birth control and I hated it, but it was the only way I stayed regular.Five years later I’ve decided I’m ready to have a baby, but it’s been years since my body produced a cycle on its on, even when my BC prescription would lapse and I’d go off it for a few months, I wouldn’t have a cycle. After lots and lots of research, I was taken aback that I’d never heard of something that worked for so many women. After my last cycle I went straight off BC and onto inositol. Two weeks in I ovulated. I haven’t gotten to the end of my cycle yet, but I’ve already bought a second bottle to keep have so I won’t run out.Other positive side effects: if you struggle with insulin resistance this could help cut your sugar cravings. I feel like a new person; I’m no longer in the incredibly unhealthy obsessive desire for sugar cycle that was my day to day life. I have had no sugar craving since starting this and can easily take a small nibble of a sweet and walk away without over indulging. Read more

**EDIT/UPDATE:Big Fat Positive pregnancy test in January 2017. Lost pregnancy at 8 weeks due to Turner syndrome.Pregnancy positive again in January 2018. Now 18 weeks. Used soy isoflavones this time to boost ovulation, in combination with inositol.I have thin PCOS with secondary amenorrhea, I saw many doctors for it. They said I was a "textbook" case and would not conceive without medication. My period was extremely painful and irregular in my teens, right now at 30 it doesn't kickstart unless I take BC. The BC usually give me disturbing side effects (chest pain, bruises not healing), so I am not fond of them. I did my own research and ended up on this page after reading about an inositol study to improve fertility for women with PCOS.I have been taking inositol powder for 6+ months and my periods have been fairly regular even without BC pills. The flow is medium to light and the pain is bearable. Sometimes taking other medications like antibiotics or forgetting to take this will get the period off track and mess with hormonal balance. Eating too many sweets seems to bring back the period cramps. This product works well especially if combined with exercise and a healthy diet, and although I cannot always commit to that, it has been a huge game changer for me. I take one teaspoon in the morning and one in the evening (I don't measure). There seem to be no side effects, except some very vivid dreams, which are not a bother (on the contrary, I find it interesting to know what my sleeping self is thinking about every night. I rarely remembered my dreams before taking this). It helps with mood control and mental state. The world is no longer a gloomy, dark place for me.I gave it some months of using it before writing the review, because I didn't want to mislead anyone. This is a pretty miserable disease, and we don't need any false hope. This truly has worked for me, for managing PCOS symptoms. I do appreciate it may not work for everyone.I am now TTC and will update this review if I manage to get a positive (or not). Here's hoping, I will write about my experience. Even if I don't manage to conceive, I will still be taking this for the awesome effects.PS: I have not been paid to write this review. Someone else ordered this product for me. Read more
I have been purchasing this through Amazon for awhile now and I love it. I have PCOS and use this to help support my weight loss through diet and exercise and it has been very helpful. I have never been successful with weight loss like I am with this....40 pounds in 4 months! My hormones are starting to regulate, my sugar and carb cravings are almost non existent. Read more
I've tried other Inositol supplements but Jarrow’s are by far the best. I actually open up the tablets and place the powder in my mouth so I can actually taste the difference between other brands that contain too much filler. Jarrow’s are the purest I've tried. And the price point is excellent for the quality. Each capsule is 750 mg which is much more than the average capsule that has only 500 mg. They help me sleep and help with chronic pain. And whenever I need a serotonin boost they work great for that also. Cheers to Jarrow! Read more
I've been a PCOS sufferer since puberty began for me and in fact my whole family suffers from it.So this review will be quite detailed but its worth the read because if your a fellow gal with PCOS, please do your research and I found that as I was doing my research there wasn't any great reviews that made me comfortable in buying any product completely. but I jumped and gave this a try because its been recommended by Naturopathy doctors. My PCOS symptoms:1. Acne2. weight gain3. painful and irregular periods4. crazy PMS symptoms - pre and post5. hirsutism6. male patterned boldness7. darkening of the skin around private areas including neck and underarms8. debilitating headaches near your periods9. and your menstrual cycle is on average 30+ days (which I know anything from 28-34 is normal but it just didn't feel natural too me)10. high levels of testosterone in your body (you can find this out through a blood test, but for me I didn't show but I suffered with all the above symptoms for years)I'm of south asian heritage and have dark hair and fair skin and I'm petite, I'm 5'5 and I weigh 50kg and I'm in my mid-20s now (so no longer being in puberty significantly helps) and I'm not trying this for fertility reasons and I'm extremely sensitive to everything. not an exaggeration. I mean everything. baby powder by Johnsons I'm allergic, I break out in hives every time I come in contact with it. I'm sensitive to anything going in my body and anything going on to my body. its important to know this because different genetics react differently to inositol. of course it also depends on the individual. sometimes you can have a bad reaction despite all research showing that women of similar genetics to you have had good reactions. so the good news is this worked for me!! I;ve had positive results.1. my acne has reduced significantly almost disappeared, I get the occasional spot now when I'm near my periods2. weight gain - it has helped reduce weight but only by 2-3kg and I wasn't very overweight before (I'm now 50kg), this is without working out and staying to what I normally eat. but its reduced my cravings significantly and I've naturally filtered out all the bad things I used to eat, like fried food etc. so reduce carbs and sugar for sure and add more greens and drink plenty of water and add a good workout regime, I'm sure you'll see significant results. its definitely a boost. if you've done your research you'll know insulin caused PCOS happens because your body isn't converting glucose into energy, your insulin isn't working properly, so your body tries to produce more of it but that triggers the ovaries to produce testosterone and therefore instigates PCOS. but please DO YOUR RESEARCH!3. painful and irregular periods - since its been a month and a half on inositol I'll have to wait a bit longer for results for regular periods, because my periods were regular before, they were just so painful, I'd be close to hospitalisation. the pain has definitely reduced but I think thats partly due to Raspberry leaf tea (its a gem! its a must try for PCOS gals).4. crazy PMS symptoms - these haven't reduced per say but they're a lot shorter in how long they last now. before I would suffer for two weeks before a period starts and after. so I was never free of my periods. but now its 3 days before and 3 days after and for me thats a win! I can finally get up and do things.5. hirsutism - I was so happy to see results here! I have some pretty impressive hirsutism, thick coarse dark hair everywhere. but its reduced by a significant little bit, I know longer have to spend hours in the shower trying to get rid of it all just to come back the next day a full animal again. since laser doesn't suit me because I have super sensitive skin that also has hyperpigmentation. I have to be super careful on how I treat hirsutism. my facial hair has gone softer and there's less of it so its manageable. and legs and arms have significantly reduced, hair removal creams does the trick and I can last for at least a week now before seeing hairs. I'm hoping it continues like that and I can just manage it so much better.6. male patterned boldness - nearer to my periods my hair would fall out so much, in larger chunks and I have long hair. my hair now definitely feels thicker and doesn't fall out as much and the thinning near my scalp and reduced, so my hair is a lot fuller than before.7. darkening of the skin around private areas including neck and underarms - I haven't noticed any change but I can imagine this may take some time.8. debilitating headaches near your periods - this coincides with my PMS read the above9. and your menstrual cycle is on average 30+ days (which I know anything from 28-34 is normal but it just didn't feel natural too me) - its still roughly the same, but at least they're on time and when expected. but I want a shorter cycle, hoping it might get like that with continues inositol.10. high levels of testosterone in your body (you can find this out through a blood test, but for me I didn't show but I suffered with all the above symptoms for years) - only a blood test can determine whether its reduced but i'll be taking this in 5 months to see if there has been a difference.my recommendation would be if your nervous about taking this and you have PCOS, try taking small doses. start with a quarter teaspoon and if you see positive results or no results increase the dosage, if negative of course please stop taking it and speak to a medical practitioner. I take 2000-2400mg everyday. which is roughly a full teaspoon.hoping this helped. there's so much more to PCOS than actually told. for fellow gals please don't fret, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. any questions please feel free to post.disclaimer: I'm not a certified doctor or medical practitioner of any kind. all my advice and opinions comes from personal experience. please do your research before taking anything and consult your doctor. I've been taking a teaspoon in a glass of water every day and it seems like is working! I've been diagnosed with PCO since I was 13, I took birth control from 16 till I was 21 and then I stopped, didn't have my period for over 1 year and then after few more months without period I started taking this! I've been taking it for more than a couple of months now and I had my period already twice so I guess is working! Hopefully it will carry on like this :) very happy. The only problem is that I don't really know how much I should take and when! It says take 1/4 teaspoon but it doesn't say when or how many times. My doctor gave me a similar thing long time ago but it was individually packed so I knew I had to take one little sachet every day... Here I have to guess!UPDATE: I'm now pregnant so this does work 😁 definitely improved my fertility a lot cause we didn't even have to try! Read more
I'm not entirely sure whether it is solely down to Inositol but I have been taking it for 4 months now to treat my PCOS and began to see incredible results around the second month of taking it. MY PCOS only appeared recently at the age of 24. I began gaining weight, getting adult acne, losing hair and getting really bad low blood sugar. I went to see a naturopath and was given a range of different vitamin supplements and was told to stick to a strict no sugar diet. This greatly reduced my symptoms of feeling faint and getting low blood sugar, though I would still get some low blood sugar attacks, my skin was still bad and the weight wouldn't budge. I tried eliminating carbs as well as sugar, doing frequent high intensity workouts but still no results on the weight front. For the past 4 months, I have been taking Inositol religiously as soon as I wake up. Within 2 months of taking it, my low blood sugar has completely disappeared, my periods have returned to normal and I have suddenly shed 2 kilos. I feel like my hormones are really re-balancing and I'm getting back to my old self. I couldn't recommend this enough although it shouldn't replace a good diet. I limit sugar except for fruit to a bare minimum (ie occasionally eat honey). For PCOS sugar includes refined carbs so no white flour of any sort. I think through a combined method PCOS symptoms are reversible and I would recommend trying this before turning to the drugs. Read more
I normally never leave product reviews but I felt I had to for this. I got diagnosed with PCOS about 2 years ago and since then I have had roughly 2 or 3 periods in that space of time. After reading numerous reviews about the product I took the plunge and purchased it as I felt I didn't really have much to lose, the item arrived on 3rd July and I have been taking it twice a day religiously. I am now on my 10th day of taking it and to my surprise my cycle has started! I am in complete and utter shock and I am so excited that my body seems to be back on the right track. I will update this review as I continue to take it! Read more
Ok, I felt like it had a small effect, but I was getting a lot of high serotonin, tired, angry, moody, off, anxiety, night time the worst, sad, low, detachment, inside bubble, colour of lights at night seems super strong, which I know my serotonin levels are high probably to negative thinking, etc. This had a small effect, I think it does or could work. but this is just my experience. It never got rid of anything, because I am still sleeping to much even though I dont need sleep, its the other depression Ive got, 5HT2A one, which is the worst, anxiety, one and depression. I think it takes the edge off, maybe. But in my view, good sleep, a light jog, and relaxed focus attention and positive focus and not taking like serious at all is the real cure, Learn the art of not giving a crap, this could help alot. negative egoic wants and needs are real cause. stop caring so much.
