I saw raving reviews for this on YouTube and online. I am in my late 30's and am not looking for the heavy coverage most tutorials show for ladies in their 20's. I am also looking for makeup with I looked up "natural makeup for mature skin" and this popped up. This CC cream is even better than I imagined! Easy to apply, super lightweight, and you need very little. (I dot mine on and use a kabuki brush to spread around. A little goes a long way. Looks very natural and is NOT cakey and doesn't goop up as the day goes on. This makeup line is on the EWG's Skin Deep Cosmetics Database as low risk for additives, chemicals, etc. It is as promised. My daughter turned me on to this line. I wear it every day. SPF 50 means I don't have to hassle with an undercoat of sunscreen that my foundation will slide off of. I covers well without being cake-y. I live in the West, but travel for work. If you go into climates with high humidity, you're going to look like you have greasepaint on. Switch to the same brand, compact foundation: It Cosmetics Confidence in a Compact SPF50+Full Coverage Solid Serum Foundation, Fair. That did the trick. Highly recommend. I've been using this brand for a few years and have always had great results. I always placed my orders with one of the shopping channels so this is the first time I ventured to order from somewhere else. I believe the quality of the product isn't what I was used to. That being said, there is a possibility that if I had ordered from my usual place, it would have been the same due to a change in their formula which I know they do at times. I kept it and am using it, but I will probably go back or ordering from the original source next order and hope it's what I usually get. This one has a kind of perfume smell to it that none of my other ones did, and it seems a bit harder to spread on my skin than what I had experienced before. I won't know if it's a change in the formula or whether it's something else until I'm able to order again and compare. So I gave it a 4 star. I like it cosmetics but wasn’t a big fan of this illumination one. I will prob go back to the original. I am not a matte fan so thought I’d like this. It’s pretty good but I feel like I’m pics it shines too much and I also feel like it wipes off pretty easy from skin. I think I bought the light medium and it matched me great. I do recommend this just maybe I’m not used to the shine to it. I’m 40 and know I just don’t want the matte finish look. Trying to not enhance the wrinkles lol.I just happened to take a pic today in sunlight. so I’m gonna upload it just to show the coverage and texture. I am absolutely in LOVE with this cream. I am embarrassed to say that I saw an infomercial on an airplane, and I decided it was probably too good to be true. But then a beauty blogger I love wrote about using it (she had ALSO saw it on an airplane infomercial!) and she LOVED it. So I gave it a chance. I really love it. My face looks flawless when I put it on, though without it being obvious that I'm made up. It takes hardly any time at all to put it on, and it makes it look like I have beautiful skin. I do have really dry flaky skin on my face, which can be really frustrating as most makeup dries it out and makes it way worse. But I moisturized well before putting it on, and it didn't have a single issue. It kind of reminds me of when I used to do amateur drama in school - it was like the pancake you use on your face. Cons for me,This product has sparkles and is not sheer, which is what I wanted.Stays wet on face so if you touch your face with your fingertips, transfers. Even with powder over.Pros for me:It has great coverage. I didn’t want to keep using thick foundation to cover up my dark spots. Wanted something lighter with spf. This has been by far, my favorite foundation. I've pretty much tried them all, from drugstore to high-end. Very high end. I had actually purchased two other high-end foundations prior to re-ordering another of these, and ended up returning the two high-end foundations, as they don't compare to this whatsoever.The finish goes on like glass, the color/s are perfect...I wear both light and medium which both match my face perfectly. I love the subtle illumination it provides, and it lasts all day without touch-up. I feel the finish looks quite natural, so I don't think I'll purchase any other foundation for quite some time. This is the second time I've purchased this foundation/CC cream. I love that it goes on smoothly without gathering in fine lines around the eyes. It definitely smooths out the appearance of blotchy or uneven skin tones. I also use the IT under eye concealer and they work very well together. The color is perfect and it is not heavy or noticeable. It gives you a really smooth natural look. I love the way it has the pump dispenser----it gets every last drop out of the container and you can control exactly how much you dispense each time. This is a pretty nice size bottle and seemed to last me a long time. The fact that it has an SPF 50 sunscreen in it makes it even better. I hate to put sunscreen on with my makeup. Glorious product. Ideal for dry skin. The illumination is discreet, nothing too bold. No oily residue on application or later in the day.I only use their concealer for my dark eye bags, as the foundation covers any blemishes.I love this foundation. Read more
