I’ve had issues with digesting fat since having my gallbladder removed. I’ve followed doctors recommendations to eat smaller meals and avoid fatty foods. It is just not possible to avoid all fatty foods, or at least not something I’m willing to do. I take one of these tablets just before I start a meal with fatty foods and they are working great. The pills are small and easy to swallow. I don’t take any other vitamins or supplements so I was quite wary about trying something. I was already taking digestive enzymes that contain lipase, but added this extra as an experiment. It seems to work! I'm taking lecithin and an array of other things to clean up my fatty liver, improve fat processing, and balance my lipids. After I added the lipase, I noticed the little blub of fat on my waistline melted away. It was the only new (relevant) thing and the time frame matches...coincidence? YMMV of course!When I was looking at some other Integrative Therapeutics supplements I noticed some ingredients that I consider unnecessarily crappy (don't remember the details) so that's a concern. Seems to do a good job in place of Creon. Still testing it when I can safely do it without chancing a problem. Update 5/23/17, I have used it enough now to give a definite review. It works great. 5 stars. I have a pancreas issue and don't produce enough enzymes to break down fat which many of you know causes all sorts of very uncomfortable stomach problems. This has been going on for over 35 years and I couldn't take it any more so I went through all of the tests, many of which were not available 35 years ago and was put on Creon, ($700/month without insurance) which solved my problem. Luckily I have insurance, for now. Needless to say, I was very skeptical of anything else. I was very surprised that this seems to work as well. I am very happy with this product and would highly recommend this for anyone who has similar issues as I do. FYI, Creon has two other products included, Amylase and Protease, which help digestion of starches and proteins so depending on your issue, you many need them also. The only thing I found other than Creon would require me to take 8-10 pills per meal so I gave this a try. My problem is fat digestion only, yours may also. I've no gallbladder. A few months after the surgery, I lost all ability to digest fats, and thus, eating in general became a nightmare. I was deficient in important vitamins (wounds would not heal, fever, very sick). Within hours of using these, the problems have stopped. No more excruciating pain, constantly, no matter what I ate or did not eat. My wounds are showing signs of healing, after having them for several months. No doctor even considered the problem to be a lack of lipase. In fact, all refused to test for it!I'm finally able to sleep, and I'm not miserable any more.As an addendum, I am allergic to mold, which is where these come from (not plants). I've been having some issues with allergies acting up, swollen nose, feeling ill in a way I recognize as allergies. I may have to stop taking them. I'm working on other supplements. Read more

It is to help you break down fats so your body can more properly digest them.We take it every morning before we have our bulletproof coffee(coffee made with butter and oil) and any other time we have a fat heavy meal. At first the coffee would make us sick to our stomachs because we were used to that much fat in the morning especially but this has stopped the sick feeling and now our metabolisms are kicking a little higher again. It has helped both my husband and I loose weight as it is an enzyme that helps in breaking down fats more then going straight to storing it but I don't think the research shows that it can do that for people as a rule just a nice side effect along with our other efforts toward health.We just ordered out 3rd or 4th bottle and no complaints.
