I have had chronic constipation since my early 20's. I eat lots of fruits, vegetables, and a healthy diet. Even eliminating dairy and gluten did not help me. At age 30 I was finally diagnosed with a colon hypomotility (abnormally slow moving digestion through intestines/colon). No perscriptions over the years were helping without making me sick and Dr. said I needed stimulant/laxative-like drug to empty. Eventually I ended up using a natural Senna stimulant every night that worked and once body got used to it over years I did have to increase the dose, but nothing very high. By age 36 I found out I had pelvic prolapse (a rectocele) caused by - in my case - chronic constipation (as one of the other reviewers stated they have too -thank you, that review prompted me to try this), not pregnancy. Recently, I have realized the senna is not working well anymore and everything else causes me to run to bathroom and pray I make it. This is because the rectocele has gotten worse.Currently at age 44 now, I was researching a natural "osmotic" type laxative (like Miralax, which worked, but had a skin reaction to chemical) for my hypomotility issue, which ended up being magnesium hydroxide, and then went on to search for best product/brand to buy. After seeing the only 2 reviews on this product that together stated both my issues and each had great results, I decided to give this a try.I am now preparing for surgical repair of rectocele, but needed to find a product to help me empty without worry for now and post surgery; especially, to ensure stitches don't tear from constipation leading to a failed repair. I tried this "Laxative Formula" and it is FANTASTIC! I do have to take the max dose of 3 tablets, but this is much healthier to stimulate my natural peristalsis (than an addictive laxative) AND keep water in stool for easier evacuation once at bottom. I expect to use this product for life to avoid a return of another rectocele. Thinking I should buy stock in this company!! LOLBTW, I am on diet free of gluten, dairy, yeast, sugar, corn, etc. and have not had any adverse reaction to this supplement. I also am on mostly organic diet. I bought these after reading reviews here on Amazon. I have some issues due to a past colon surgery and became hyper-sensitive to the PEG in Miralax. I was using Calm powder and wanted something perhaps a little cheaper and less fuss to take. These are working for me. They do not cause distress of any kind. They work well overnight, or over a course of a day. That means they do not work as fast as Calm. They seem to provide some additional bulk. I have issues unless I take the full dose of 2 capsules. As for the size of the capsules, they are large but I do not have any trouble swallowing them. The edges of the capsules are rounded and the surface is slightly slick. I did notice that they work better if I do not take them just as I am retiring for the night. I take them and move around a bit first. Otherwise, I seem to get some GERD. Read more

It works but I have a downside theory but may be wrong. I am cheep so I bought these tablets to save money over the price of the white liquid in the blue bottles. These work but with a minor complication. My theory is that as the tablet moves though my system it is slow to disburse and remains in a small area. The foul tasting liquid in the blue bottles starts out disbursed. So I only take it with a lot of water 16+ ounces or with my evening meal. Read more
