I pretty much love this booster seat. My daughter is 4 months old and can sit comfortably in it. It has an anti-slip rubberized bottom that makes it stick to whatever surface you put it on. The inner seat material feels comfortable and unlike hard plastic, has a soft feel to it.A nice little storage under it is just the right place to put the safety strap that attaches around the chair/seat.The only minor issue I have with this is that it does not provide any easy-to-hold handle to pick up and move. You have to reach under it which is difficult. If you have to move the seat from one spot to another with your child in it, it should have included some type of hand bar to easily pick up.Overall, this is one of the best feeding seats out there. This seat is a good size and it looks really nice in my kitchen. But... there is a gap in the grey rubber where the crotch strap goes that is really extremely difficult to clean, and food always gets in it every time. You have to take it apart (which is also harder than it should be) to clean the white plastic underneath. Every. Time. And babies eat like five times a day. Really, the crotch strap is the reason for this product losing stars for “easy to clean” and for the “security features.” You really shouldn’t need a crotch strap at all in this seat, as it is designed like a roller coaster with a large rise in the center that does the same job as the crotch strap. Not only does it enable food to get inside the chair, it’s also just really hard to use. You have to dig around the baby’s diaper area looking for it and since the rise in the seat is right there, you have to get really familiar with the kid in order to get the thing buckled. It’s annoying because of the difficulty when you’re strapping in your own kid, but I also nanny every day and (in my opinion) it’s worse when you’re trying to buckle in somebody else’s two year old. I feel like I’m intruding on their bodily autonomy. I mean, you have to do that frequently with kids anyway, but lunch shouldn’t be one of those times. Read more

I really wanted to love this booster seat, but it is so impractical. There are small crevices everywhere that food gets stuck in easily (photo showing the seat after one meal). The straps are also annoying because there is no way of moving them to easily place the child in the seat; you have to set the child down on the straps and then they are hard to get out from under the child. I also don't understand why the top cushion comes off. It doesn't fit well and comes out far too easily. My 17 month old constantly pulls it out. Maybe it would be better for younger children, but I strongly dislike it. I did give it two stars because I do think it looks good (before using) and I like the compartment with the tray (though I never used the tray). Read more

I made sure to buy the newer version of this product and I'm glad I did. It has a fully supported base along the bottom after you take the tray out from where it's stored. The older version is a hazard as the seat can tip forward. My 6 month old isn't sitting up unassisted yet. But she has been sitting in this chair since 5 months. I'd say it's good for beginners. I also picked this over the Bumbo multiseat. The tray seemed bigger and it has no metal springs that rust or could pinchange babies legs. The tray is also placed higher than the bumbo. So of you have a bigger baby, there is room for the legs. The removable pads make cleaning easy. And as other have stated, when it arrives the top part of the pad anf seat is in the bottom of the chair. It's not missing. Read more

The media could not be loaded.  This review is based on the poorly constructed one I was sent.So first it didn’t even come in the original box. At first sight it looked used. The tray appears to have some part missing. There is a small chunk of the cushioned seating missing and it doesn’t not fit together. Very disappointed because I really wanted it for my son. The chair is great for travel as the tray packs right inside and under the seat and packs small.. My grandson is only 9 months and I think this is for an older or bigger toddler because the tray sits pretty far away from a smaller child so A LOT of food goes down on to the seat. While the plastic seat (no cloth) insert comes out and is easy to clean, the food goes down onto the base through the seat belt hole and the food is is very difficult to get out of the seatbelt hole without putting the whole chair under water. I use a paper towel to cover that hole but then I can't use the seat belt.I can still use the safety straps on the chair to secure baby chair to dining chair but I would feel more comfortable if the chair had arms to hold the feeding chair more securely. Let me preface this by saying that I have a large 6 month old. After fighting the stupid straps and finally getting the product secured to the chair, I go to secure the baby in it and find that the middle strap is very short. The buckles are huge. So when I attempted to buckle the side straps into the center, it pinched my baby’s chunky thigh and caused a bruise. I was trying to be incredibly careful but I didn’t realize just how far down her leg the buckle itself extended. I could not extend it far enough from her to attain proper clearance. She screamed soooo hard (she NEVER cries especially like this). We have tried the seat a few more times and I dislike it more and more each time. In addition, the straps to secure it to your chair are crazy. There are two large plastic buckles on the back strap. They are bulky and hit where the chair bends. They are not easily tightened when buckled together which leads to a lot of trial and error. The bottom strap does not easily tighten either. We have round stool chairs that I tried to attach it to and the base of the seat did not accommodate the rounded back so it was less secure than I would have liked. Very disapointed with seller. We recieved a dirty, disty, used looking seat with white residue all iver the foam, the foam looking far from new. It was also in a generic box and not in original pacaging. Either returned/used/fake or display one was sent to us even though we paid for new. Completely unaceptable! Returned imidiately and purchased same seat from John Lewis for a couple of pounds more. It came in original ingenuety box and looked nice and new.6 month old baby loves it, very comfy and easy for her to pick thicngs from the tray. Easy to move when going somewhere and fairly easy to clean. I regret not getting this for her first weaning chair, as the hauk one we got was big, bulky, uncomfortable and a nughtmare to clean. The dining chair booster seat is superb.Very comfortable for our little grandson, we bought an inferior model months ago but he kept sliding down and became fractious if left long in it, it was obviously not comfortable.As he is 14 months old i quibbled buying the ingenuity seat, would he be in it long enough to warrant buying another seat now?I bit the bullet and bought it and Amazon delivered it the following afternoon!Our little lad climbed onto the seat as soon as we got it out of the box, when i fitted the liner and the backrest (stowed in the space on the underside of the seat) he sat back on it and wouldnt get out...We are all very happy with the seat, and would recommend it to others.Our little lad is well built and the seat fits him nicely. I was concerned the leg indents might be suitable for small kiddies, im happy to say he will fit the liner for some months to come. Read more

I love this seat. We use it as a booster for my 3 year old toddler and also as a seat for my 7 month old now that he is sitting up supported. It is comfortable and can fit both of them depending on whether the insert is in or not. It fits securely to the seat and my favourite part is that the table tucks into the bottom of the seat when it's not in use so it keeps everyhing neatly together and my older soon can use the dining table with us.
