Our daughter loves to play with these until we noticed that her chewing had resulted in moisture inside the ball and it was growing black mold. I'm not sure why it is necessary for these to have a hole because they become a breeding ground for bacteria and as we all know it's impossible to keep babies from chewing on things. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CHILD GETTING SICK!!! I purchased this thinking it was a great developmental toy. My boys loved them. They especially loved chewing on them. Well, these toys each have a small hole in them that trapped their spit inside and nearly over night turned it into mold! I'm only giving these balls one star because I have to. We bought these roughly a month ago and initially they were my daughters favorite toy. Sadly, I've had to take them from her because they grew mold on the inside. We followed the washing directions and never submerged in water. I'm guessing they got wet from my daughter putting them in her mouth, but they shouldn't even have a hole in them to allow water to get in. Gross gross gross! Read more

The media could not be loaded.  I love these because they are durable and I think it’s a great learning tool for my 6 month old with all the different colors, shapes, sizes and textures.There are a lot of reviews concerning mold growing in them because they’re is a hole to let air in and out and a baby’s drool goes in and creates mold. I’m torn.Pros: My daughter really loves these and is fascinated with each of them. She’s also having fun learning how to throw and catch. And she makes the funniest faces when I rub them on her feet or hands.Cons: The mold! She chews on these all the time so saliva is collecting inside them. We had to throw a ball out because it had mold covering the inside and she’s only had these for about 6-7 weeks. Is there a way to still make these squishy without the air hole? Interestingly, we’ve only spotted mold in one hall so far and it’s the green one that others have shown moldy pictures of.We still have the rest of them and will be keeping an eye on them but that’s obviously frustrating to do, and there’s a definite design flaw here. Great product but unfortunately not one that my baby is currently very interested in... She could potentially be too young to appreciate it or perhaps just doesn't like balls much... Will give it a bit of time and see. My only small gripe with it is that the balls cannot be washed - wipe clean only. Good sensory toy for any baby, my only word of caution might be to test out how much your baby likes to play with round objects before purchasing. However, if you are happy to wait for your baby to grow to like them then they are worth buying early to expose them to the idea of early on. Read more

The set are colourful and a wonderful idea given the different shape and texture. However, they are not exactly well made and certainly do not justify the price. I got two balls with a little bit of stain (cannot be washed off but not that noticeable). My little one (9 month old) is not interested in them so far but hope they will be popular soon. Read more

This is great for little fingers as they can be used with a variety of ages and grow with the child. I brought mine for a toddler and im so glad at the product.
