I tested this product on my skin first because I know what I am allergic to and this product did not list any of those allergens. I was hopeful after reading the other reviews that I would be able to use this because the product I was using was discontinued. However, within 48 hours, my skin reacted to something in the product, so I am unable to use it. Read more

I highly recommend. With the chemicals in standard black hair dye my head would totally get sores and I've been dying my hair for over 20 years. Not only did I not get a chemical reaction, it's the longest I've gone with an over the counter product between colorings. Think I found my favorite hair dye, after much experimentation. It mixes a relatively safe chemical that opens the cuticle with henna and indigo plant dyes, and only takes 30-35 minutes to process. It smells like sweet oranges and doesn't leave my hair feeling roughed up and damaged like everything else. And there's enough to cover all of my hair, which is also unusual. I’ve dyed my hair for years because of premature gray that started when I was in my early 20s ( my father had the same issue). But, lately, I’ve started getting severe allergic reactions- difficulty breathing, breakouts on my skin, red eyes, coughing. So, I did a ton of research one sleepless night, and decided to try this brand. Luckily Amazon Prime had it! Let me tell you that doing my hair was such a pleasant experience!! NO SYMPTOMS of allergic reaction or overwhelming snell of chemicals! Just the pleasant smell of oranges, without the meds of regular dyes due to the thick paste. My hair has been falling out more than usual so I decided to avoid regular box dyes for a while. I have strong gray hair that box dyes dont always cover well and my grays hair grows out fast. Decided to go back to henna. This ones very nice, my sensitive scalp didnt react which makes me feel good they didnt lie about the no ppd promise. I like the honey gel smell u mix with the henna powder but NOT the final conditioner mask smell. Next time I use this Im using my own conditioner.
