For those of you who expect this to be the same as the amazing Intrakera from the 90s in the black bottle... it isn't, as other reviewers pointed out. This is not to say it's a bad product. Many reviewers seem happy, and it's because hair products really depend on your hair type, climate, etc.So how to tell if it'll work for you? From the reviews, it seems it works best for those who need lightweight conditioning. For those of us who need a richer and more full bodied product, it doesn't work. I have curly hair with a tendency to dry out (also because I swim several times a week). The old Intrakera used to leave my curls very well defined, hydrated, shiny, but not crunchy at all. This product is much lighter in consistency, and it didn't fully quench my thirsty locks. My curls looked dull and overall my hair, although not dry, looked bogged down and matte.To the makers of this product: if you are changing the formula from the original Intrakera, why don't you change the name as well? Your product is not bad, it's just for a different public from the original. As it is, it is misleading to those of us used to the old version.Also, while you're at it, why not make the old formula again? Many of us need a more intensely hydrating product. My wife has used this IntraKera conditioner for well over 20 years. Each time there is a hiccup with the company that owns this product she has stuck with them as it is usually a great product. This time someone must have changed the formulation. It doesn't work like the old product. She was told by her hair dresser that there was another problem with the company and the latest batch of their product. This is obviously just what the buyer for her hair dresser was told so take it for what it is worth. That said, it is hard to argue when you have some of the old product to compare it to. It may still be a good product for other people, but if you liked the way it worked before you may be disappointed like us. Hair products, like clothes, are not one size fits all. What works for my hair, may not work for your hair. But, I think this product is amazing and I've been a happy user for years. I have straight, frizzy hair that refuses to accept curls. It's also fine, but I have a lot of it. I've tried many perms over the years and nothing ever stayed for longer than a week so I gave up and decided to embrace the straight. There is a huge difference in the texture of my hair when I use it versus when I don't. When used, my hair is much softer and holds the straight after I use a straightening iron (yes, I still use the straightening iron, but it takes a fraction of the time with this conditioner in). Regardless of the humidity, my hair is still straight, no frizz, at the end of the day. Rain is about the only thing it can't withstand. Thanks to this conditioner, I spend a grand total of 8 minutes on my hair every morning between blowing drying and straightening and it looks great the rest of the day. Read more

Product is amazing but both “sleek” looking bottles were seriously dented (and they were bubble wrapped so they shipped them dented) making them not sleek looking at all. I intended to use and reuse for travel but no way - I don’t do dented/not sleek. Other than that disappointment, shipping time was good and as I said for curls there is no better product. Read more

This is such a practical hair product for me. I have thin and sort of wavy hair that would like a little extra body. So I just dampen the hair in the morning, rub in a less than dime sized blob all over the ends, comb into place and go from there. I do not use a hair dryer although it probably works well with heating too.The style lasts al day and is neither sticky nor flat feeling. If I do not wash the hair in the evening then I follow the same morning routine washed or not. It works better for me if the hair is well towel dried after washing.Intrakera will be regularly on my beauty shelf. Read more
