It seems impossible to find a conditioner for color treated hair that doesn’t have silicone in it. This one has silicone and it also has mineral oil! Gross, just a bunch of junk ingredients that leave my hair feeling slick and not at all soft and hydrated. It makes the claim of keeping 94% of color intact after 18 washes. Sure, because this just keeps adding buildup of oil and silicone. Not the way I want to protect my hair. Don’t waste your money, I tossed this right in the trash. Now I’ll have to use a shampoo with sulfates to get out the buildup. Which will strip some color. Yeah, this is not at all recommended unless you want to look like a grease trap after 18 uses. This truly was a memorable mask. I have colored my hair for years and paid the price both at the salon and with the damage I accumulated over the years to my hair. This mask is rich and creamy with the pleasant scent of coconuts….or at least that’s what it smelt like to me. You need to leave the mask on your length and ends for 3-5 minutes and rinse carefully. I was fearful that the “carefully” meant my hair might have a greasy residue if I wasn’t super vigilant with my rinsing. Not the case at all. The mask left my hair super soft and super shiny. I did not need to use the curling iron at all. It also appeared to diminish some of the brassiness my hair tends to proliferate by the half way mark in its color cycle. If it actually prolongs the intensity of the color for longer…. I would be over the moon. The price is more than reasonable for the amount you receive. My guess, using every other washing, it could last close to a year. I would most definitely purchase other Il Salone Milano hair products. Read more

I have super dry, highlighted hair that needs tons of hydration to look decent. I use a deep penetrating hair mask at least weekly. This one by Il Salone Milano is fast and easy. It is very thick and white with the usual "haircare products" floral scent which I don't love but I tolerate. You are supposed to wash your hair first then apply this mask on the length and ends avoiding the roots. Only leave on 3 to 5 minutes and rise. I often leave it on longer. It can't hurt. My results have been good. My hair feels soft and looks far less frazzled. The color seems to be holding up. This mask may not prolong it but it doesn't strip the color or make it fade.I like that I don't have to keep this on for ages if I don't want to. A few minutes and it adds the hydration and protection I need. I also like that my hair isn't greasy or weighed down after using this. I probably could use even more hydration at times but this is enough for my hair to look smooth and to not be weighed down by heavy residue. I will use a very heavy mask every month or so to totally replenish my hair. This is a great one for use after every wash or every other one for achieving and maintaining smooth hair. Read more

My hair is fine, damaged, dry, and chemically treated. I did a double process blonde for quite a long time, and about 9 months ago went darker to give my hair a break. I also added some colored streaks. So it can be tough to find a product that addresses all of my hair issues! This mask worked very well for me. As an in-shower treatment, it left my hair SOOOOOOOO soft and silky, I was astonished!! I usually only notice color washing out when I shampoo, not when I condition - so was glad to see this conditioner didn't wash out any color.I am however not the biggest fan of conditioners with dimethicone - this is what provides that silky feeling and frizz free coating - but it is water insoluble, which means it is very difficult to get out of your hair! If you don't use a clarifying treatment regularly (which I do not currently do due to my color), you will get buildup and your hair could get even dryer. So not necessarily the best for regular use!
