First let me say, I am not being paid or compensated in any way for writing this review of Ideal Lean, French Vanilla. I’ve noticed when I was reading all the reviews for this product, I hardly saw anyone talking about how well this worked for them. Most of the reviews where about the flavor and many reviewers just said great. I want to be more specific than thatI am 71 years old and have gone through a lot of stress and depression, not to mention I deal with Skin Cancer and sadly, for about 3 years I pretty much neglected my body. But have been slowly taking the weight off, with other brands of Whey Protein, and Fat burners, they worked for a time. Then this year, during my yearly physical, it showed I was border line Type 2 Diabetes. So the doctor kindly told me to get my carbs down. Now, at this point I had already lost weight, and I decided I was not going to let this take control of me. So I went on a low carb, high protein diet, and now today I am down to 120lbs, and the doctor dismissed all diagnosis off my medical record. This final loss of weight did more damage to the body, along with what damage I had already developed; no muscle mass, lack of collagen, etc. and yes some is due to age, but mine is due to neglect.I decided to try this Protein Shake as it had Isolates and the formula for burning fast, as I didn’t really need to lose the weight, I need to now tone myself up. I have been going to the gym for a little over a year and its helping, but I depend a lot on supplements that are helping.I take this once a day after workouts. I mix it in ice cold water, add ½ cup frozen pineapples, 3 tablespoons of Organic Coconut oil, plus 3 teaspoons of HMB, which is for the muscles and recommend for seniors.Results so far…in a little under a month I have lost 2 inches off my bust, waist, hips upper arms and thighs. I have a ways to go, but this now gives me hope I will, in time, reach the numbers that I am looking for. So, that said, I would recommend this to anyone to try it, but will say, we all need to realize what works for some won’t work for the others. Oh! I purposely checked the ingredients before ordering because I have food allergies and the webpage did not list all of the ingredients some of which I am allergic to! Now I find out that this product is not eligible for return so I am just out the money. I'm very disappointed about this. For other with food allergies be advised this product contains maltodextrin and modified food starch both of which usually are made from corn. So if you are allergic to corn like I am you won't be able to drink this! Read more

I absolutely love this protein. Perfect for before and after workouts, taste great too and mixes well in cold beverages. I mix mine with a cold brew coffee concentrate to help boost more mornings. It tastes absolutely delicious and the vanilla is perfect not super sweet but just sweet enough. I’m still a breast feeding mama so I can’t use pre workouts do to the stimulant. The powder mixes in really really well and does not give a chalky consistency whatsoever. I used this after I had my son in my breast milk booting shakes in the morning as well. Wanna mix the flavor up, add some strawberries or cocoa and you got some more options!! Totally recommend this protein powder to all my friends and breastfeeding mamas! Read more

After researching I thought I had decided on the perfect protein drink for me, low carb, low cal, and high protein. The first morning I added a scoop to my coffee as I have done with other protein drinks and it clumped up into a rubbery consistency and was undrinkable. I just got this but so far I like it. No clumps! I just shook up in blender bottle with skim milk and a little ice. Tastes good, it does have that slight artificial sweetener taste but this is one of the better tasting shakes I've had. Most importantly it did fill me up for a few hours! That's huge for me as I'm known for always being hangry. It's a bit odd/wasteful how huge the container is, it's only about 3/4 full of the powder. Overall would recommend. Read more

Taste isn't too bad, but I feel like if I just mix it with almond milk it doesn't keep me full very long. I usually add a bunch of fruit to help keep me full longer. Read more
