They only shipped this bin in a bag, so it was all mangled when I removed it from the packaging. After bending it back to a rectangular shape the best I could, it still doesn't like right. It collapses with very little effort. Most similar bins have a plastic piece to line the bottom with to help hold it open, this one does not. The canvas material feels very durable and it does stand on its own. While it is solid and sturdy this item is clearly not meant for hauling heavy burdens or being stacked. Decent sized toy bin for toys. As you can see a bit from the picture, it's not a hard bin. It just holds itself up by whatever the material is made up of. If you push one side down, it will stay down. I like that because my baby can go grab a toy and I don't have to worry about it toppling over. Loved the color and panda print. Panda is our them.
