I had high hopes for this bag considering the good reviews it had, and I really wanted to like this, but it's just not made well.THE NEGATIVES: The bag is actually really, really thin, and is made of cheap feeling material on the outside. It's not very sturdy compared to other makeup bags of this same style and price, and the fabric itself feels like it will tear, stain, and rip easily. And, I'm not super picky when it comes to these sorts of makeup bags either. I still really like how it looks in pictures, even my own pictures, so it's hard to describe what I mean by being low quality. I think it's how paper thin it is.THE POSITIVES: The zipper does seam to work good, and the inside of the bag is made of a better material than the outside. Of course, it's got a really cute design, too.I hate writing negative reviews, but I have to be honest. Also, just an fyi...the dimensions are off. This might be a good thing for some people tho, because it will hold more if that's what you're looking for. I have pictures with the dimensions, so at least you can have the correct information. The bigger bag is a bit larger than described.I was purchasing this to hold my medication. I've had my old $7 makeup bag for about 8-9yrs. It's literally, on it's last leg, and hardly stays zipped anymore. Even though it's been through the ringer, it's still much thicker, and sturdier than this bag. I ordered these thinking that the larger one would be for my makeup kit and the smaller could be for my nail kit. I definitely underestimated the size because the larger one will not fit my everyday makeup or my full size palette. I would call them a more medium size makeup bag at most. However, The larger one will fit my complete mini sized nail kit including the files and tips bag, and the smaller will be used for a mini palette-less makeup travel bag.These bags are pocket-less and have very pretty fabric with good zippers. This set is exactly what I needed to travel, at a super reasonable price. The large bag holds all my toiletries plus a Naked palette, and the smaller holds all my other makeup I need for a wedding (guest) - with room to spare in both! I travel on the slightly lighter side, but these should work very well for the average traveler. The bags are well made and soft to the touch, and the pattern is surprisingly neutral. It’s mostly leak proof. I’m using it to hold lotions and oils, since it appeared plastic. I wouldn’t exactly say it’s plastic but it’s close enough not to stain easily.It arrived as pictured and not broken.The seams and stitches were uniform and not worn down.I would suggest getting the large size, since the large is not very large at all. I’d say it’s the minimum to hold a plethora of art supplies or cosmetics.After a couple weeks of basic use, it is still in one piece. It probably won’t last forever, but it serves it’s purpose. Similar train cases are double the price or more. I actually prefer this one to more expensive cases I looked at, it is simpler and the print is light and attractive. I can wash it if it ever gets dirty. The small pouch tucks into the larger case for packing/travel. Then pull it out to carry on your purse, for small items like makeup. Read more
