I transitioned to this one step dryer after being a Revlon user for over a year. I’m sold on this tool over Revlon, here’s why:1. Temperature is hot, but not too hot.The temperature for this Hot Tools dryer is perfect. With my Revlon, the temperature always felt too high and on more than a few occasions I could actually see and smell my hair burning due to the heat no matter what kind of heat protectant I used.2) Cool tip at the end of the barrel is much nicer.The tip on this is really nice and it has grippers to keep your hand from sliding. The Revlon dryer does not have this and I hated that I felt like my hand would slip around as I was drying my hair.3) Interchangeable barrel/headThis is such a nice feature. Now that I’ve cut my hair a bit shorter than shoulder length, the smaller barrel is not only much easier to use it just works much better. The Revlon model does not have this, and it worked alright when my hair was longer, but didn’t work at all for my hair once it was shoulder length or shorter.4) End result looks more polishedWith my Revlon, no matter what products I used in my hair, the end result was straight and frizzy. Unless I went back with a straightener, I don’t think I’d ever get the smooth and shiny finish look I was trying to achieve. Using the same products as I was before, the result is a sleek and straight hairstyle that’s shiny and healthy looking. It’s giving me the fresh blowout look that I never thought I’d be able to achieve with a single tool at home.TLDR; Hot Tools over Revlon all day every day. This one is easier to use and temperature is hot enough to dry your hair quickly without burning it. I have the Revlon One Step Volumizer brush and loved it but the bristles got crushed and while it still works, I thought I better get a new one and keep the old one as a backup. Great reviews for this Hot Tools brush so I purchased it. I picked this detachible one as I thought if the bristles get crushed again, I could purchase a replacement brush head. It also comes in a smaller size which gives you another size option. Although this is similar to the Revlon, this grips the hair much better so it has more tension to get a straighter finish. I'm really happy I went with this one and will probably order a replacement brush head just to have it on hand. I definitely recommend this hair dryer brush. Read more

Interesting concept. I like the way the air vents are setup around the bristles. The bristles are sturdy and withstood the heat without deforming.Primary cons: the high setting is too hot. The low setting is too cool. If your hair is heat sensitive you’re risking significant heat damage.The product suffers from not having a medium heat setting. At least for me. I won’t be able to use it again which is unfortunate it did work well. Easier to use than a a comb attachment on a standard hair dryer. But ultimately, not worth the purchase for me. I dislike . I did not like it, because I have used it for 3 months, that is 12 times and the brush has run out of bristles, it no longer brushes well, it no longer works, the hair is not straight. Only my daughter uses it and her hair is not frizzy or thick. Read more

I LOVE this thing! I am completely inept at blow drying, and so in warm weather I actually just let my hair dry naturally. But I have to leave my house before 6:30 AM, and in below freezing temps in winter. So I needed a FAST way to both dry and style my hair at once. It's a little longer than shoulder length and layered, and my natural hair texture is thick and too wavy to be straight and too straight to be wavy. So it needs help to be one or the other.This thing dried it in five minutes start to finish! That's impressive by itself, but it was also smoother than I have ever been able to get my hair by myself. A stylist can do it with a brush and a blow dryer, but I can't. This blow dry didn't deliver. It was easy to handle but was not hot at all. It was ear piercing loud on high, so much my ears rang for about 15 min after use. Didn't dry well on high either and left hair frizzy (used Aragon oil and leave-in so odd we got friz). I purchased for my 11 yr old daughter so she could dry her own hair. Going to return since it is damaging to our ears. Honestly should be banned due to potential to cause hearing loss. Smaller fan increases noise so knew it was going to be loud but this was ridiculous. The interchangable hair peices were nice and worked well, only postive we could provide. Read more

I'm not great with hair. I used this once and I'm very excited about how my hair turned out. Very nice.Has a cool, warm and hot temperature. Unless you have extremely thick hair, you won't want to use hot. The air blowing is great as far as I'm concerned, it is as good as my regular blow dryer. Switch could be easier to use. I left it running while separating my hair because switch is a bit hard to move. I haven't tried removing the brush yet. I got the purple one. Don't know why the black one is more expensive.I believe the brush size is designed for long hair. Interchangeable brush heads or optional brush size could be nice for others. Read more

Me gusta que tiene dos niveles de calor , mi cabello es delgado y con el primer nivel está perfecto. Me gustaría que tuviera más pelitos del cepillo por todo el cepillo. Solo está en los costados y no en el centro . Apesar de eso me gusta mucho como me deja el cabello.
