First, I'd like to point out that these are supposed to be sheer (hence... the product name). I'm seeing some low ratings that the colors are too subtle. If your are expecting an opaque color, these are definitely not for you and you should spend your money on different lipsticks. These are kinda like Chapsticks with a tiny bit of color. Also, everyone will look different depending on your natural lip color. I have dark lips so most colors won't pop on mine but will probably show more on pale lips.Second, some other low ratings are because the colors didn't last at all. These aren't supposed to last. They're just lip balms pretty much. Though I have to admit that I wished the moisturizing effects lasted longer.With this said, these lip crayons are suppose to slightly enhance your natural lip color while giving a shine. Also smells good!There are hardly any swatch pictures online and on the website so I'm posting my own for your reference. I also took pictures (with flash) of the lip crayons on my bottom lip and naked top lips for comparison.My lips are slightly dark and naturally mauve with some deep pink undertones. So when I wear these...- Sherbert gives be a pink tint. (Without flash, the pink is noticeable)- Petal gives me a coral tint.- Chestnut is totally colorless and useless on my lips so I might return this. (I've seen a picture on someone else's pale lips and it really gives her a pretty nude brown/chestnut color).- Rose is a beautiful deep red color. (The flash accentuated the rose/pink but it's more like a deep red rose color.)My lips are dry and these don't accentuate my dry lips too bad. I'm also allergic to some ingredients (I don't know which ones irritate me) and these haven't flared or gave me blisters on my lips yet.If you're looking for a moisturizing lip product, with a sheer tint, you might want to try these. They're affordable and ingredients are less "toxic" (no parabens, no petrolatum, etc).These are definitely perfect for someone with pale lips. For those with darker lips, you will need to be more thoughtful about your color choices because the lighter colors will probably won't show very much.Too bad they don't last a long time but it's worth trying. This was a pleasant surprise! It feels great on my lips, leaving them softer, not dried out like many other bright lipsticks. The reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it doesn’t stay on long. I ordered this online after using up my identical product which I purchased in the store about a year ago. It was my perfect summer sheer pink lipstick/gloss. Unfortunately, the product I received is not that similar to what I bought in the store. The color is less sheer, it is less "glossy" or moisturizing and the color is a bit more peachy.Some people will like this - there's nothing necessarily wrong with it. I've purchased this twice. The first time the lip crayon was exactly as described. Just the right amount of color, moisturizing, comfortable and light to wear. Not super long wearing, but not terrible either. My 3 year old got a hold of it and it wasn't salvageable, so I ordered the replacement. What was delivered came in a box marked Sheer Rose, exactly what I ordered. Inside the box, however, was Coral. Not at all flattering on my skintone and not worth the cost of return shipping for a refund. I was planning on wearing it to an event this weekend, but I'll have to make due with something else. This is the only lipstick I can wear. My lips are very dry and sensitive. It has to be applied often but it is worth it to have a little color. I only wear it when I go out, otherwise I wear aquafor. I don't think anyone has a problem as bad as mine. Read more

This is the exact lip colour Meghan markle wears on her wedding and other occasions. This is the sheer version because they discontinued the even darker version. This lipstick is very very pigmented though! It’s weird when people say it’s not. Moisturizing and nice packaging. Beautiful colour. I’ll buy all the shades. So scent to it either which I love.
