I love Herbatint products, specially since the leave my hair healthy and with a natural color. I'm giving this one 4 stars because the color was way too light for me (even when this is the number that I used to used with other brands) and after some days it turned it an ugly orange on my hair. I recommend to go for 2 darker shades if you want to wear your natural color. Read more

It is not natural, it is chemical, just without ammonia. My hair is worse then after ammonia. And probably I have an allergy, head is itching. But color is nice. Read more
I have used Herbatint hair color for 14+ years. I originally purchased it at a health food store and since it is sometimes difficult to find I was very happy to see it at Amazon.I have sensitivities to perfumes and many chemical smells. I can't suggest that this product is good for every sensitive individual, but it works for me. Before I used it for the first time I bought quite a few different brands to smell and then test on small samples of my hair. I wanted to cover gray and have a natural looking color. Over the years I have gone slightly lighter and my technique has evolved to blend two colors (7C & 6N in the mixing bottle before I put it on my hair -- 2T of each color). I think the tints tend to turn out darker for me than pictured.Before using Herbatint I had never dyed my hair and was surprised at the change in texture. So it's important to use conditioner but I use my own since theirs is very fragrant. Also, I buy better gloves than they supply.Now that I probably have more gray hair I use Herbatint every 4 weeks to hide those roots but sometimes go to 5 or 6. Read more
