After purchasing a new Genesis G70 Sport we needed to find a quality product to protect the nicely red stitched grey leather seating from our 3 year-old granddaughter's child seat. This one had decent reviews, so we ordered it and just yesterday installed the car seat on it. It fits well in the seat, it has sufficient padding to soften the edges of the plastic seat bottom, the "non-slip" surface against the leather works well and the seat remains stable, and the color is ideal. The seat protector covers the seat back to protect against the brat kicking, but her shoes come off in the car anyway since she's attracted to snow, water and mud like most little people. The only thing missing is something to protect the back of the front seat from the back of the child seat (since you should always install a child seat looking backward). The addition of a small gray hand towel folded over does a great job of padding the back of the headrest and upper portion of the front seat without being obtrusive. Could not be happier with this product. It is very thick and seems well made. I just installed it in my car to protect my leather seats from a new car seat. I am extremely pleased with the thickness of the material as I feel it will protect the seat from indentations. I also really like that it includes the 2 pockets for additional storage. I purchased this item keep my car seat clean and protected. I do not have a baby car seat, but I carry a lot of items for my horse to my boarding facility, and I pile a lot of things in the passenger seat. This seat protector stays in place and is thick enough to protect my seat from sharp objects and of course it keeps the seat clean as well. It does not interfere with the air bags in the seat back. This Helteko Seat protector is by far the thickest and the biggest I have purchased through Amazon. it is comfortable to seat in it too due to its thick cushion. I returned this right away after receiving it. The rubber backing is like the back of a bathroom rug and will probably melt to upholstery in the summer heat. Plus I have read many articles about car seat protectors causing car seats to fail in an accident due to slippage. Companies will usually proclaim that their product is crash tested but in reality they aren't unless you buy one made by your carseat company that is approved in the manual. Read more

If you have a car seat, you NEED to have a protector. It doesn't matter if you have leather or fabric. If you have a kid in a car seat you need protection. What I like about this one is that it is thick and high back so that when they are infant/rear-facing, it protects your seat from the damage your kids will cause from kicking the seat and throwing of the food. Then it continues to do so when they become forward-facing, it protects the seat from the damage of the actual car seat and from all the goldfish that are dropped. Really wishing I had bought these sooner, it was only after having my seat installed for a while and having to adjust did I see all the damage that was done. If your on fence as to this items importance, get it! It’s not only good for car seats but I also use it for my seat where my dog sits. Love the little pouches on the front for storing wipes, dog poop bags, extra socks since my son loves loosing one in the store lol I highly recommend this and will be getting another set for our truck!
