Truly the best toothpaste available I started using this toothpaste 6 months ago because I have terribly sensitive teeth and my teeth feel the best they've ever been I've tried many other brands such as Toms Toothpaste, Sensodyne, Colgate Sensitive, Crest Pro-Health you name it I've tried it and none of them have worked till I tried this product. Best toothpaste I have used and I've tried them all since I have been in the dental industry my whole life. I like that it is not over flavored as I find this a problem with most toothpastes on the market. I do not like overly minty flavors. This one is mild with just enough cleaning power to leave my teeth feeling smooth (just like I had them cleaned professionally). Give it a try if your in the market for something different! Really dislike the flavor of this mint toothpaste. One: stevia - gives it a sickly sweet flavor that doesn't go away and this doesn't have much to cover that. Two: it has kind of a chalky taste. I tried a fluoride free Hello version before and I am not sure if it just didn't contain as much stevia but it was much more enjoyable than this variant. UPDATE: I have solved my problem with the flip cap. I simply unscrew it and use it like any other tube of toothpaste. The tube itself it made of thick plastic, and the wide shoulder makes it very hard to get the last bit out of the tube. But I love this toothpaste and will use it despite these packaging flaws. Hopefully it will be improved on in time.I am very pleased with this toothpaste. I have always had sensitive gums but have never found a remedy. Then, when I experimented with tooth powder, I experienced happy gums for the first time ever! However the powders were too abrasive on my enamel and I had to find a different option. My dentist suggested that my positive gum reaction might indicate a sensitivity to something in tube toothpastes, so I looked at the ingredients in my previous brand (Tom's) and discovered SLS, or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is known to cause skin reactions in sensitive people. Well, I have VERY sensitive skin and am always finding new things I react to, so I decided to purchase Hello toothpaste to see if my gums would continue to improve without SLS. I especially liked that it contained fluoride to help strengthen my enamel and prevent cavities. I have used it for over a month now and am able to floss regularly without any pain or bleeding. What an improvement! I like the strong mint flavor, it's very pleasant without being overpowering. This toothpaste doesn't lather like other toothpastes, but that's because it's SLS free. SLS is an agent added to soaps, toothpastes, etc (practically everything) to create a lather, so it's actually a good thing that the toothpaste doesn't lather. Having tried and enjoyed tooth powder, this was no big deal for me. I would definitely recommend this toothpaste if you are looking for a good SLS free brand that still delivers fluoride. I was really tired of my toothpaste choices, and in fact, I made a couple of bad choices that tipped me over the edge. I need sensitive toothpaste, and sometimes they just don't contain (or contain enough of) that magic ingredient that addresses sensitivity issues. I was concerned about that when I decided to try this brand. Many of the toothpastes in grocery stores contain all those different chemicals (SLS ?) too that makes for some rather unpleasant stringy saliva. I just want toothpaste that cleans my teeth and reduces sensitivity. I don't know why they have to add all that chemical junk anyway!! So, here I am a couple of months later, and I'm very happy with Hello. It cleans my teeth. It controls my sensitivity issues. AND, there is no more stringy saliva issues. Hallelujah!!! The only reason why I didn't give it a full 5-star rating is because I really like toothpaste that foams up and makes me feel like I have a mouth full of minty soap. LOL Some people hate that, but I'm one of those weird ones. Hello does not foam up enough for my liking, but its not a deal-breaker either. I'm happy when I'm done. I've used Tom's sensitive toothpaste with fluoride for many years and was bummed to find they no longer sell it or a comparable product. I found Hello on Amazon and ordered one tube to test and I came back and ordered 4 more.Pros:- I switched from Tom's sensitive with fluoride and don't notice any difference in how sensitive my teeth are - in other words it seems to work just as well as Tom's.- I like the tube shape and didn't realize how much I'd like a stand-up tube. Regular tubes seem so old school now.- Ethical company, cruelty free.Cons:- It's overly and unnecessarily sweet, but the taste doesn't linger, just mild mintiness.- The cap gets gooped up and becomes hard to open and close. It probably needs to be wiped off each time it's used because it's just a little stickier and thicker than I am used to. Read more
