The velvet is so soft, and all of the pearls seem to be attached very securely to the fabric. I've worn this one time to a dinner with a friend. By the end of the dinner my head was sore behind my ears from the pressure of the headband. It probably jut needs to be stretched out a little. I also have a larger than normal head for a woman (I usually have to buy size L hats), and I also have very thick hair, so these were major factors as to why my head was a little sore. For someone who has a small to medium sized head I'm sure this wouldn't be an issue. Read more
