He also told me that they don't use Avobenzone in children's sunscreen because of safety concerns. I haven't confirmed if that is true. Purchased these after I was looking for a sunscreen that I would be able to reapply while wearing make up. I'm an avid sunscreen user and always apply an SPF under my primer and foundation but every sunscreen tells you you must reapply every 2 hours. That's really hard to do when you already have a full face of makeup. So I wanted to use this as almost a setting spray/ sunscreen re-application.The instructions say that this is a product you must spray into your hands THEN rub onto your face but because the consistency of it is literally like alcohol (think of acetone or rubbing alcohol), you have to spray multiple times onto your hands because it evaporates the way rubbing alcohol would. It also smells 100% LIKE ALCOHOL so it more than likely shouldn't be applied on your skin unless you're trying to speed up wrinkles. A double edged sword indeed- you're applying sunscreen to care for your skin but it smells and feels like alcohol so you're essentially wiping the youth away with each use.It's portable, the smell is great after you finish choking from the initial alcohol burn. But I am still confused as to whether I got a bad batch or a batch that someone pretended to return and filled it with regular alcohol. Great protection, smells pleasant, easy to apply, not heavy and no strange color. I am very sun sensitive and this was a new option for me and I was very happy with results and feel that it actually made my skin feel and look better after a two week vacation. I will keep buying and feel you would be happy with this choice as well. This is a really nice sunscreen. It's super super lightweight, blends super easy, no white cast, and very very watery, which, can be a good thing for some and might not be so good for others. That's why I took off a star - it's a bit too watery for my liking, and I would have absolutely loved it if they just made it a tad bit more creamier and less cheap-feeling. OR, CHANGE THE PACKAGING!! The fact that it's in a tube makes the consumer think that it's going to be some sort of cream, but it's literally on the brink of being liquidy and watery... which I didn't appreciate. It gets so messy and almost spills everytime I use it, I end up accidentally squirting more that I need, and it makes the tube look like a mess. This is something that's meant to go in a mini pump, (maybe even a tub of some sort) because it being in a tube is so not ergonomic. It's messy. Came back to this listing to stock up on more and happened to see other's negative reviews about receiving an expired product and what do you know. The one I was using was expiring within the month I had purchased it! Shame on these bad sellers.Actual product itself is get what you pay for. Formula is watery and wears thinner than the original lotion-like formula. I wear this out on my daily walks and it doesn't seem to be waterproof and starts stinging my eyes within a few hours- just like the original sunscreen. My all time favorite sunblock. I used Hawaiian tropic on my daughter when she was a baby and it never irritated her. This is the only brand I can put on because it doesn't make white streaks like other lotions. It protects my ultra pale husband perfectly. I even mix it with my foundation sometimes. What can I say? CHECK EXPIRATION DATE! Received product and felt stinging/burning sensation after using it only to find out it had ALREADY EXPIRED on 11/20. Shipped and sold by amazon on 3/28/21. Beware- these bottles are 3 ounces! Woe to you who do not heed the fine print, sayeth this late night buyer who should have put their glasses on! Put 3 ounces in a measuring glass, and see how little that is. I was expecting the "regular" sized spray bottle, like my hairsprays, which are 12 oz. That's on me. Also, I read that people were irritated by the alcohol scent, but even though it sprays out smelling a bit strong, it fades to the usual "Hawaiian Tropic" odor. It doesn't feel greasy, so that's probably thanks to the alcohol content. We just use it on our legs, preferring a cream on the face and arms, so I like that it dries instantly. Not entirely sure what the green tea is supposed to do for it. Antioxidant? On your legs? Well...hmm. Anyway, I simply don't recommend them for the price, given the tiny size of the bottle.
