I bought this very early for my son's birthday since it is at Christmas time, I will update then, but for now. . . It came in a damaged box so the bottom of the elephant was hanging out, so I believe that it got stained in transport. There also was some slight discoloration on it's neck. As many other reviewers have stated the stitching is very poor quality and looks like it may need a little patching up after a few months. If you look at it overall from a distance it does look cute, and it is soft, but ultimately I wish I would have got a better one. Since, returning can be a pain, I am going to attempt to clean it up, I highly doubt my 2 year old will notice these imperfections, so I will give it a chance and update after he plays with it. As expected, POOR quality, as facial features ( nose and eyes ) were asymmetrical.Looked like a PICASSO PAINTING. Ordered another which was a little better, but not as expected.Original would NEVER make a gift for ANY child.The original had a small chip in the wood as well. I was suspicious of this item due to it's low cost, but it got fairly good reviews so I though I would give it a try. The item was packaged very poorly overall, with the box being dented and ripped in a few places. The giraffe itself is cute from afar, but up close it appears cheaply made and I anticipate the mane and tail will shed excessively. The wooden base wobbled a lot, which was easily fixed by simply tightening all of the screws. (I don't understand why they company would bother assembling the base if they weren't going to do it correctly in the first place.) I paid $50 for this (apparently "on sale"), and still feel it was a bit of a rip-off. It will look cute in the corner of a small child's room but once he/she gets to be about 3 years old I would have serious qualms about letting him/her ride this thing, as it appears unstable overall, even with the base screws being tightened and glued in place. If you can afford it, I would suggest splurging on a more expensive rocking toy that your child can safely use for many years. Read more

No no no.. Do not buy. This had to be the worst purchase on Amazon ever. The elephant it’s self is adorable but to assemble it is a nightmare. Something that should have taken no more than 5 minuets ended in 2 hours and sore hands. The screws underneath the elephant are all crooked. Nothing matched up. I literally had to hammer the screws to be somewhat straight. (which was impossible) and I had to make the holes bigger to fit the screws. Once all that was done I noticed that it barley rocks. My daughter likes elephants so much I got her the elephant rocker and she enjoys it. It's cute and fluffy soft. It was fairly easy to put together, although the handles come loose and need to be tightened ever so often so as a parent one would need to check the handles frequently before and after child plays with it. This cow is cute but it doesn’t rock. We had to manipulate one of the screws to be able to put it together because it wasn’t in line with the others. It’s more for show than a toy kids can play with because like I said, ours doesn’t rock, it just stays in place. Read more

It is very cute. Mine came with a hole where the legs join that I will have to sew. It's too much to return so I will keep it. The seems are so tight that it looks like there may be the start of other holes too and a child hasn't even touched it yet. I know this wasn't that expensive but it would be nice to have quality control. The inside box it came in looked like it was used for a boxing match. The outside shipping box was fine so it obviously came like that from the store. Read more

First off, the packaging was horrible. I'm surprised more things aren't damaged on the bear. The wooden pieces are all banged and scratched up.Second, my husband had to get his tap and die set out to re thread the handles because they got so damaged by shipping that the handles wouldn't go on. Thankfully my husband works on cars and knew how to fix it. The box had absolutely no padding it in so items were just shoved together.Third, the growling sounds are more on the Godzilla side of things then child bear. I promptly took the batteries out because it didn't need those sounds coming back to haunt me in my child's nightmare.I would proceed with caution when buying this item. Read more
