With all the digital clocks nowadays, most kids have no idea how to read a standard clock with an hour and minute hand. My 8 year old grandson was in that category. I thought this might be to "young" for him but I was very wrong, he loved it and played with it non stop all day. This is probably meant for teachers as there are several clocks in the set. Each clock as removable and reversible hour/minute facings for different types clock faces. What I really liked about the clocks themselves is that they worked with gears so the hour hand will show true when you advance the minutes. There are also several decks of cards you can use to play games like guess the time. You draw a time and put the written time on the card on clock...my grandson loved this and played for hours with it. The clocks are surprisingly well constructed and I love the gears within the hand assembly.I highly recommend this if you have a child who can't read a standard clock, they will love it. A great gift for a teacher as well. I felt the price was reasonable for the quality. Read more

These clocks and cards are a nice way to help kids learn to tell time. I like that the clocks have 3 different set ups: hours only, hours plus minutes, and a clock showing only 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. The reverse side of the white strips also shows AM and PM. I have the yellow time learning clock and I think this style is a bit easier for early learners. The hands move together like a real clock, which is good because it shows kids how the hour hand moves in relation to the minute hand. There are 3 types of cards: time cards, problem cards, and interval cards. The time and interval cards can be used for younger kids. The problem card is meant to incorporate the knowledge from both the time and interval cards. Those are more appropriate for older kids, once they understand the other concepts. The clock are sturdy, and about 4.5" in diameter. The cards are glossy and thick enough. This is a nice set that is helpful, although I would not rely on just this. I would add in a workbook as well. Read more

The numbers of the clocks detach into number lines (reminds me of a bike chain) that can be straightened out, so kids can learn the concept using the familiar number lines. This is most useful in classroom settings. I would recommend this for teachers, where there is dedicated time to explain how the model works.I agree with another reviewer that sometimes I feel this makes things a bit more complicated than necessary. Sometimes the kids get distracted by the way everything comes apart. So it really depends on the quality of instruction that goes alongside the use of this model. That's why I mostly recommend it for classrooms. Read more

Our in home therapist is using this with my child and she said it works and is durable and well made. She has been able to use it for parts of his ABA program. 4 stars because she did say she has used easier clock games and this one is a bit more complex for my child's needs. So consider that when using it, maybe better for younger NT kids than special needs. Read more

I like these little mini clocks for teaching kids how to tell time and calculate elapsed time. The clocks come with two detachable magnetic rings that function as a linear time line when removed. The clocks seem to be nice quality. The feature an easel back so you can stand them up. The set comes with cards that allow children to work though different time concepts to fully grasp how to tell time and calculate elapsed time. Read more

There are three different ways to teach time using this clock:- the blue face- a strip with minute lines- a strip without minute linesThe strips reverse, layout flat, and can be used as a time number line!I love everything about it … except that the magnets on the strips could stand to be slightly stronger. Other than that, all good! Read more
