I have been shaving with a brush for about 10 years now. This was going to be my third brush.This has less than half of the bristles of my other two brushes making it very hard to work with. I did buy the black model and customer photos with the brown seem much more full than mine so.... It also seems to be losing bristles quickly, every brush I have had loses bristles but this is happening rapidly, and again you don't have many to start with.It is artificial. This doesn't bother me so much and I was curious despite other reviews, especially at this price. However it does not hurt to mirror other reviews in this. they worked as they should but without the volume it (again) was hard to work with.If this is intentional to make a "travel" brush, great; but is it really necessary? It really doesn't cut down on general dimensions or weight.I just really have not enjoyed this brush very much. Read more

This is a nice little shaving brush. I think it's nicely made. It's sturdy, I have been using it for a month now; when I clean it I do squeeze the brush real hard but not one piece of brush hair has fallen out. It also lathers very well. Feels nice and soft on the skin. Handle is real wood. Overall, I highly recommend it. I've seen similar brushes at higher prices. I purchased this shaving brush because the cleaning bar I purchased from Target came with dehydrated sponge applicators and once it is submerged in water, the applicator expands to become a sponge for the cleaner. I was very concerned that the sponge would lead to a.) bacterial growth since the instructions say to let it air dry after each use and b.) after using the sponge applicator one time, it was making my face burn badly. I originally thought it was the cleaning bar I was using that was irritating my face. I didn't want to return the product to Target without giving this cleaning bar another chance. So I purchased a shaving brush like the men used in the olden times. Once I got the product delivered, I started using it. I immediately felt a remarkable difference on my face when using the cleaning bar. The bristles were so soft and gentle as I was appplying the product to my face. It was a life saver. Easy to clean. This brush is okay not as soft as I would like since I have really sensitive skin.The handle is firm and easy to grasp the knot is decent and does build a leather very well the softness is the only concern.For those with sensitive skin I would recommend a different shave brush probably one with either a tuxedo knot or another type of synthetic that's very soft.I have a West coast shaving beacon tuxedo brush that I really love that I bought to replace this brush. I use this product 3 to 4 times a week to shave both my head and face. I also use a shaving puck.I love how it lathers quickly, it feels on my head & face, plus how easy it is to rinse clean. I have used four different shaving brushes over the last few years. This is, by far, the best. It doesn't lose hair, is easy to clean, and dries quickly. It holds its shape, even stuffed in a shaving kit. As long as the glue holds, it will be my go to brush for years to come. Read more
