I’ve been searching forever for an inexpensive cologne that smells great and lasts all day. I don’t think it exists. But this Hanae Mori is the real deal and it’s not terribly expensive. Very masculine scent and three squirts was noticeable by my wife 5 hours after I put it on today when she hugged me. It’s my first time using it and I’m already a believer. Not overpowering either. But when she’s within a foot of me she smells it. I’ll update my review should my opinion change, but for now I love it. Wish it was a tiny bit stronger, but I also bought the parfum as well. I’ve been buying Hanae Mori in higher-end department stores for more than 10 years. At first spray I knew that the bottles I bought on Amazon were not the same. Don’t waste your money buying Hanae Mori on Amazon. When I spray the real thing in my bathroom an hour later I can still smell that fragrance I like so much...not with this stuff. I wear this daily. It is subtle yet engaging with a fresh, colorful scent. I'm not an expert, but it smells like citrus flowers, yet very masculine. Paul Bunyan would NOT wear this chopping wood but he would if he went to the office. It is a clean smell, and perfect for office and engaging with the public.I have worn several different types of cologne before, including some high end and popular brands. But, this one FITS ME. I have received several compliments (from all genders) and that certainly makes me feel good, but really cologne and body type are what matters, and this cologne matches by body and profession very well.When people ask what cologne I am wearing, its a great conversation starter about who made this, which is actually the same guys who started H&M, but its their names, not initials. My only gripe is that it doesn't last more than 5-6 hours, but since its fairly light (not a large amount of oils), that is understandable. This is legit my favorite every day cologne. I used to buy this at Macy’s for $80 a bottle so I’m so glad it’s dropped in price.It’s VERY strong and long lasting. If you can figure out a way to do a half spray, that’s PLENTY strong to last all day.It’s kind of a fruity, lemony smell, so if you’re not into that... move along. It’s also a very clean, fresh scent so it probably won’t be something you wear out at a club or anything.That being said, this is a perfect every day cologne and such a good value for the money. I have been using Hanae Mori for many years and found it one of the most original scents ever. It used to be very difficult to find, chiefly in one top end department store and the retail price there was about $90. However, it lasted all day with one or two strokes of the bottle ( in the Parfum version ). As well, the scent developed over a few hours. This new product is not nearly the same. It is weak and diminishes within minutes. I have been trying to find out if this is a new formulation or simply a cheap knockoff. The major price reduction should be a flashing " don't buy" light. This product is either formulated differently from the original product to meet the less expensive price or is not authentic. Apparently, it's also not returnable, so we're literally going to throw the bottle (and our money away). The scent burns our noses and doesn't smell like the original cologne. Read more
