I have purchased these in every size, and I have always loved them for my son. He is currently 22 months old, about 34" tall, and weighs about 26 lbs. Recently he went through a growth spurt, and has started to complain, saying "toes" every time I put the size Large on him, so I went ahead and ordered him the Extra Large. At first I ordered the Cream ones, and they are exactly as before. They have a one-way zipper that zips from the bottom to the top, and no pockets covering the zippers. I noticed that some of the newer styles, like the Blue Elephants and the Sketch Dots, have pockets covering the top and bottom of the zipper. At times my son has woken either him or me by hitting the sides of his crib with the zipper, so I thought, "How wonderful is that!?" Well, I went ahead and ordered the elephants because I loved this improvement. Then I read a review saying the elephants don't actually have pockets covering the zippers as shown, but the sketch dots do. Today I received both the elephants and the sketch dots, but I'll be returning them and just sticking with the cream ones. The elephants and sketch dots have a two-way zipper instead of a one-way, and although they have a flap to cover the zipper pull at the top of the sleep sack (by baby's neck), there is no pocket covering the zipper pull at the bottom (by baby's feet). I really wish the new design had the zipper pull pockets as shown in the picture, because it would have solved the issue of my son loudly banging the zipper pull against the crib and waking us up. Still sad about it. Can't move on. Why oh why isn't this genius fix a reality? Anyway, I decided to keep the classic cream ones with the one-way zipper, because my son knows how to use zippers, and I'm pretty sure he will get himself out of his sleep sack with a zipper pull at the top instead of just at the bottom. I bought this because I was at my wit's end. My toddler, about 18 months, likes to crawl out/face plant the floor from the crib. I struggled to find a way to prevent this from happening and stumbled across this little gem. This sleep sack keeps baby safe and snug in bed without injury to self. It is light, though keeps baby warm through the winter months. I have not tried this in the summer, though I expect baby would be fine since we use air conditioning in the home.I ordered an XL based on the size chart, but quickly realized that it is huge on baby. For 18-19 month olds, a L would probably be a better fit. Baby is 31.5 in tall, 26.5 lbs. The XL does not fall off baby's shoulders, which I was afraid would happen. It is quite roomy, I will not exchange it for a smaller size, though I wish I would have bought the smaller size to start. Read more

i am ALWAYS worried about my toddler being too hot or too cold! in the winter, his room happens to be the coldest in the house. last year, we had to have a heater on to make the temperature comfortable (at 72). He's too little to know to pull up a blanket when he's cold and it's always kicked off within 15 minutes of me fixing it. so, he always slept in fleece pj's, no blanket, and the heater on.i decided to give these a shot this year ... why didnt i sooner?! it's only fall but i can already use these. warm enough to have his room at 69 with only a thin pj underneath (i also have the thinner ones. i use them with footie pjs and when its not that cold)also ... he's 34 in tall and 27 lbs. the XL is nice and loose Read more

My kid had these in smaller sizes and loved them, so we were happy to find the XL. We keep these on her now (at 2.5) to discourage crib escape maneuvers and to keep her feet warm, since she can take off her blankets but doesn't seem to know how to put them back on. It's not super-warm; in her room (which gets down into the low 60s at night), we do fleece footie pajamas under this, and then go in after she's asleep and put her blankets back on her. Read more

I purchased this sleep sack in the XL a few months ago for my 13 month old daughter. This is the perfect wearable blanket for her. I have tried several other products similar to this and this one is by far a favorite.Pros:- The fleece keeps my daughter warm and cozy through the night without being too heavy or bulky- There is plenty of extra room in the legs for her to safely wiggle around to get comfortable.- The zipper zips up from the bottom making quick diaper changes a breeze- The arm and neck holes are the perfect size (not too big) to keep the sleep sack in place even when my wiggly baby moves around throughout the night.- The price is such a good value for this type of product...I looked at everything out there on the market and you can't beat the value for this type of quality.Cons:- After several washes the fleece material is not quite as soft as it once was. When I opened the package I was pleased by the softness and weight of the material, however, there was some discoloration so I washed it before using the sleep sack. The sleep sack washed beautifully and came out of the dryer perfectly clean. Since using this sleep sack my son is consistently sleeping through the night. I would highly recommend this product. We have been using these since our baby was no longer interested in being swaddled. We started using the Medium size before she was quite big enough for it (at 3 months), and even though it was longer than we needed, it still fit well around her arms and neck. It wasn't too loose to be comfortable and safe. Now that she is on the verge of outgrowing the Medium, I've gone straight to an XL because again, even though it's longer than we need, the larger size doesn't pose any safety risks and is quite comfortable. She is a very wiggle baby and is able to get around her crib and even stand up in these without hurting herself or getting twisted up. We get both the fleece and cotton one so we can interchange them based on the weather. During the winter months, we used a blanket with the fleece sack and the fleece actually gripped the blanket so she stayed covered even when she moved around. In terms of durability, we wash them in the machine on hot and they've held up well for 6+ months. The ones she has outgrown are still in good enough shape to use for another child, hand down, etc. I really love this product. Read more

Great product. My daughters loves it. I think it's a bit pricey but it's justified as long as it lasts without issues. Time will tell. Read more
