My 1-year-old has worn a different brand of a sleep sack and it has worked really well for her overall until she outgrew it and we couldn't find a replacement. I've heard great things about Halo and I can see why, but unfortunately there were a few things that didn't work well for us and ultimately I will be returning it:+ Pros:really soft, durable yet breathable cotton - I love the material and it would be perfect for all weather I believe.I like the length of it - it is long enough that it would give room to move around a bit, but not so long that you lose the functionality of the coziness and warmth. It is high quality material, seams/stitch work, and I love that the zipper ends at the bottom so you can easily change diapers/etc without completely opening it (and this also makes it more difficult for babies to play with it)- Cons:the only con (although it is a substantial one) is that the v-neck is too large relative to the armhole size and body length. For example, the size Medium barely fits my 12-month-old's arms, but the v-neck could easily slip up over her chin/mouth. If I go up to the size Large, then she is swimming in the length and armholes, and the v-neck is even larger. I may be overly-cautious, but I don't like sleepwear that can slip up easily over the face (which is even more of a concern for younger babies). With the high quality in other ways, I was expecting that this sleepsack would be all around a sound product, but instead it unfortunately has missed the mark with the sizing proportions and the safety concern with the looseness of fabric near the face. My little one runs hot especially at night and we keep is room at 70 so the big thick fleece ones don’t work. I layer these over long footie pjs and it’s perfect for him even in winter. I never worry about him being too hot or cold. They are soft, durable and the zipper is reversed which makes for easy diaper changes and also there is no hard zipper up by his neck. I own 3 and will probably order more. For reference, my baby is 7 mo, 17 lbs and wears a medium. They are supposed to be long and roomy at the bottom. It is more ergonomic and don’t worry about it slipping up in their face. If you have the right size it won’t no matter how much they move around. Read more

This is such a great product to keep your baby warm and safe at night! I have purchased many fleece Halo sleep sacks for the winter months, but this was the first light weight, 100% cotton one I've bought. I'm happy to report the lighter version is just as great as the heavier, fleece sleep sacks. My only (slight) complaint was that the zipper on this version doesn't lie quite as flat as the fleece versions, but other than that, I still feel this is a terrific product for the price. I would definitely recommend this product to any parent that wants to protect their babies from SIDS by not using loose blankets, but still keep them warm at night. This product is perfect for summer/warmer months. If you want something for the cooler months, go with the Halo fleece sleep sack instead. Read more

My son outgrew the newborn size I received as a gift from the hospital, so I ordered this. I love it! None of my 4 kids liked being swaddled when they were babies...current one included. This lets him keep his arms out, but keeps him warm. It also allows him wiggle room and he can even roll over without getting all tangled up. I wish I would have had one of these with my other 3 kids. I always worried about them wiggling out of their blankets and getting all tangled up in them. I don't have to worry about that with this. These have been a lifesaver because I feel happier knowing that my son is wearing a blanket but I don't have to worry about the SIDS risk. They are a bit pricey for cotton with a bit of zipper but the peace of mind is worth it. This light of a TOG rating has been great when it has been super hot here lately. Read more

Pros: Keeps baby warm, nice material, easy access for diaper changes, allows baby to move.Cons: Not for babies who like to kick a lot.We started buying Halo SleepSacks when our little one outgrew swaddles. These still give him the security of being wrapped up in something, but also allow his arms and legs to move. It is a nice breathable cotton so baby doesn’t get too hot, and the front zipper zips from top to bottom making MOTN diaper changes a lot easier. Our only con is if you have a big kicker on your hands, I suggest getting the next size up to give him/her plenty of room to kick. Read more

My baby wears this every night and nap for sleeping and she is 8 months old. Although it's summer, she sleeps better with some sort of blanket type thing on her. We usually put her in a onesie or short sleeve pj's at night under this and she never seems to hot. We bought the size M for her (she is about 27" and 15lb, so on the small side) and she has plenty of room to grow in this. I love Halo products. We used the swaddles when she was younger. They are slightly more expensive than some sleep sacks, but the quality is worth it completely. Read more

This is the best brand of sleepsack I have found. The cotton weight is perfect for summer or warmer weather and the fabric has held up perfectly after many many washes. And, these aren't ridiculously expensive like some other brands. I was given other brands as gifts at my baby showers and this is the only one I still use and will buy when I need a bigger size.
