I love these sleepsacks! The large is a lot bigger than I assumed so I'm not sure if our baby will need that by the time he fits in it. But we have used the size small and just purchased a medium to keep him warm throughout the night before we can start using a blanket. We just put a onsie under his pajamas and then put him in the sack and it's perfect for the night. The medium is a little larger than if like but it gets the job done. To show you the sizes...In the picture the blue one is a medium and cream is a large. My baby is just about 3 months. Read more

This is a nice, light sleepsack which works well in place of loose blankets. We try to keep baby's room fairly cool (68 - 72 degrees Fahrenheit), and he wears this over a long sleeved onesie. The zipper opens from the bottom, which is nice for diaper changes, but it would be even better if it could open in either direction like the Wee Urban sleepsack. The length of the large size is great for my 30 inch long 9 month old.By comparison, the 6 - 18 month Wee Urban sleepsack is similarly sized, but much warmer.According to the TOG thermal insulation scale (which typically runs from 0.5 - 2.5 for sleepsacks), the Wee Urban sleep sack is a 2.0, while the Halo sleepsack is a 0.5. This makes a big difference. I would recommend the Halo sleepsack for summer use and daytime naps, while the Wee Urban sleepsack is great for winter use and cooler evenings. Read more

We began using sleep sacks with our daughter when she was 2 weeks old. She slept much better when she couldn't startle herself awake but neither my husband nor myself were very good at the swaddle (particularly at 3am when you haven't slept more than an hour at a time for over a week and can only keep one eye open and hope in the daylight that you might remember your own name). One night when I was looking for a clean blanket I came across a swaddle sack that had been a hand me down and decided to give it a go, I instantly liked it. It was not a HALO but at the time I didn't know the difference and it was easier than the blanket swaddle. We used it at night from then on but we only had the one and anyone with a newborn knows that you can't have just one of anything. So to amazon I went and after perusing several options I settled on HALO and have not looked at another brand since. After the swaddling stage was over we have continued to use a HALO and will do so until she outgrows all sizes and options. We use the fleece in the winter as we live in Colorado and switch to the cotton in the summer. They are well made, durable, fit well in the size range, wash and dry easily. I have been given some high end sleep sacks as gifts and I return them because they aren't as well made as the HALO and some of them do not zip down which I think is a good feature so your little one isn't jabbed by the zipper pull. The zip down makes diaper changes easier as you do not have to open the whole thing, just unzip halfway or so and tuck it up under until you are done. I've done many diaper changes by nightlight and not having to re-align a zipper you can't see is very helpful. The zippers are also good quality and have recently withstood my daughter's curiosity and attempts to open them, it will unzip but the zipper and the fabric have both held up to the experience of a toddler pulling on them repeatedly. I love them and gift them to others. If you try one, you will probably love it too. Read more

The quality of this sleep bag is good. I had a good experience with HALO's sleeping bag/swaddle. But this one is not safe for my daughter. She loved to chewing her foot and the sleep bag part between 2 feet. So she might get a chance to suck or bite the zipper. I just cannot imagine what would happen if the zipper pull/tag fell apart and she swallowed it. So I returned this sleep bag and buy another brand that has a cover for zipper. Hopefully Halo could improve their design. A parent as me just can't tolerance a small risk. Read more

We started with the Halo Swaddle Sleep Sack and switched to this at around 10-11mo as our son no longer needed the snug fit around his midsection to sleep well. It’s medium weight sack and does a great job regulating his temperature during the winter with fleece jammies underneath. It’s a little heavy for summer use, unless paired with a shortsleeved T-shirt or onesie. Easy to wash/dry and never irritates my son’s sensitive skin. Our son is 15mo, 33”, 28lbs and the Large fits well (we’ve had it 2+mo). Only gave 3 stars on versatility because there’s really no other purpose than sleeping... but it does it’s job well! I had to return this item after 2 weeks of using it. The cream one for some reason was sewn with a plastic zipper instead of a metal one. One of the zipper teeth on the left side half way down got out of alignment and I was unable to zip completely without a lot of struggle. I requested a return and the company immediately will be replacing mine and exchanging it. Great customer service. I've owned many HALO sacks with my 2 sons and this was the first time one of them has had any zipper issues. Luckily, all is fixed and the new one should be here soon.4 stars- Awesome for my 9 month old 20lb boy. Sleeps great in them and I can rest assured he's safe and warm. :-) Great for summer too. Absolutely perfect for my daughter. She often wriggles out of blanket swaddles but hates having her arms tied down. This is a great solution, and if she seems cold I just blanket swaddle over the top of the sack and she can wriggle out of that when she gets too warm.I would highly recommend getting a larger size for the baby to grow into. The large is a great fit for my 8 mo old (she wears 12mo). The fabric is comfortable and breathable. Easy diaper changes bc the zipper unzips from the bottom up. Read more
