What a great product. We ordered another mattress for our Halo Bassinest thinking that it would make it softer for our newborn if we stacked this one and the original one and it didn’t help make it softer (lol). We know that a newborn is supposed to sleep on a firm surface for safety reasons. Our newborn does seem to sleep better with the mattresses double stacked. The buying experience was great, and the shipping was super fast with Prime. I would highly recommend this replacement if you need a new one for your Halo Bassinest! Read more
Not a good mattress at all. Toxic material, think and uncomfortable even for a newborn. We are ordering a custom mattress thanks to the la k of products available for this bassinet. Which is disappointing as these bassinets are not cheap. Read more
I was crazy impressed on how much better this mattress is than what the original mattress was that came with our Halo. We needed a replacement since we accidentally placed the base on the original mattress while it’s been stored. It seems to be much more firm without being hard (the original mattress I feel our newborn push through all the way) and will hold up for the duration of use and I expect much more to come when I finds a new home. Don’t let the cost intimidate you, quality is not cheap. Read more
I replaced the basic foam mattress that came with the Bassinest Glide with this one hoping it would be more comfortable for my son. It is more padded and seems slightly more comfortable, but he’s not sleeping any better. Quite expensive for a small, relatively thin mattress. Read more
Bought this to replace original mattress used with this for my first son 3 years ago. I had purchased bassinet gentle used. Mattress pad was always very thin, but worked fine for the 8 weeks I used it on 2018 with first baby. My son did get a little bit of a flat head - not sure if it was how thin original was or something else. Friends recently borrowed it and I just got it back out for baby #2 and wanted to upgrade mattress. This new mattress replacement is definitely better quality than the old. Holds its shape great , way thinker when I pinch between 2 fingers. Glad I bought this. Will not be using old pad- makes me wonder if original quality was that poor or if it had been washed before I purchased it causing quality to break down. (I never had to wash it) Read more
I don’t get why the Halo Bassinets don’t just come with this mattress. The one you get with the Bassinet sucks‼️ It is thin, way too firm and begins to get an impression from babies head. This mattress is a MUST purchase. He even sleeps longer! Read more
I purchased this for my newest grandchild’s bassinet. I couldn’t find it anywhere, everyone was out of stock so I ordered through Amazon. I wanted a mattress with some thickness to it and this one said it was over 4” thick. I was so disappointed when I opened it and saw it wasn’t even an inch thick! This is by no means a mattress, it’s a pad! Don’t waste your money if you’re looking for a little more thickness then the pads that are sold. Read more
I’m giving this 4 stars because I think the price, like anything with Halo products is pretty expensive given what it is. However, I clearly still paid it because the standard mattress that comes with the Halo Bassinest is awful. This one is much better- more plush but not overly soft, fits perfectly and I like that it’s a mesh cover- can spot clean quickly or unzips completely off it it needs washed. Read more
