We have plenty of halo sleep sacks for different seasons and sizes and we love them all. BUT this one was advertised as MUSLIN cotton, which it definitely is not. Muslin is supposed to be a thin breathable weave of cotton. And this Is the exact same cotton as all of the other halo sacks we own. I bought this hoping it would be more comfortable for her at night but unfortunately it’s still pretty warm. Other detail let down, all of our other sacks have two way zippers and this only has one. It’s an adorable pattern and we need the size up like NOW so I’m not returning it. But now she’s sleeping in super light jammies in the dead of winter in Midwest, just so she’s not sweating her butt off. SO If the Muslin is supposed to be the lightest fabric halo offers, that means they don’t really offer a breathable option. Boooooo. Read more
We are the owners of several Halo sleep sacks and, for whatever reason, this is the only one of our large sized sleep sacks to NOT have a double zipper. If you've ever tried wrangling a toddler AND lining up two zippers to zip something up then you know the STRUGGLE IS REAL. Especially when you're expecting the sleep sack to have 2 zippers like all the others so you can easily zip up from the bottom. Halo set us up with high expectations and then let us down. So every time we use this one we get a little angry that it's unnecessarily loads more difficult to use than all the other ones. What a bummer. Pattern is cute but the single zipper is not worth it. Save yourselves and go with a different Halo sleep sack! Read more
If I had written a review when this arrived at the first of the month I would have given it a good review. It's soft and very lightweight. However after not even a month it has a hole. My son hasn't used this on a nightly basis. I bought several sleep sacks-enough to have a clean one each night for a week. So this has been washed and worn three times. That is unacceptable. If I still had the package I would return this. I plan to contact Halo and see what they say. So far my other sleep sacks are ok but I will be keeping a close eye on them. If you purchase hold on to your package a while to see how it washes and wears. Read more
We have two of these now. The first we got in "woodland etch blue" is perfect. A little large, but works for.our almost-five-month-old with room to grow and we expect to use our sleep sacks for awhile. This one has a two-way zipper as advertised, and like practically all other baby sleepwear items. A two way zipper not only makes quick diaper changes easier, but with the zipper already in line, getting it on or off the babe is quick too. The second one we received is the "lakeside" print. It only has a one-way zipper that starts at the top. It's challenging enough to get the zipper started on a squirming, wiggly baby, I can't imagine dealing with it once he's a toddler. I assumed this was some manufacturing error, til I read more reviews on here where it seems to be the norm. So just a heads up, if this matters to you, you may or may not get the right zipper. So happy with this purchase! Of course back is best but if your little one rolls or sleeps on tummy this gives you the piece of mind that they have a blanket to keep them warm and you know they are safe from suffocation. As a first time mom I'm super glad I purchased this. My little one tosses & turns in her crib but this sleep sack keeps her cozy all night !The product is exactly as pictured!Nice pattern not the softest material in the world but not stiff at all I like it !Easy to machine wash and dry like all your other baby clothes 👍Love the upside-down zip for easy changing!Lightweight 8/10. Now that the summer heat is upon us this blanket is soft and thin enough to keep using BUT if your little one runs hot they might need a change of pjs. My 7 month old runs warm and can no longer wear the regular footie pajamas so we just put her in a regular short sleeve onesie or just her diaper and the sleep sack and that's all she needs for a comfy nights sleep. Keeping this simple... if you had this same halo sleepwalking but in the last size down, it was amazing. Soft, comfortable, double zipper. This one changed the zipper. It goes top bottom. Doesn't seem terrible until you're trying to close it on a fussy child. The other one you can just zip up and viola! Noooo... this one needs to be aligned like an upside down jacket then zipped down. Again, a super huge pain when putting it on a baby that doesn't want to sleep. There's better and cheaper out there if this is the "new" zipper Halo is going with. Read more
We absolutely love the Halo brand wearable blankets. It makes me feel comfortable that my daughter won't get a blanket up over her face and possibly suffocate during the night. We've been using these wearable blankets since she was around 9 months (almost 18 months now) and plan to continue to use them as long as we can!! Another great thing about them is that it makes it harder for kids to climb out of the crib lol. So will be keeping her in there as long as possible with the help of these wearable blankets. Overall, I highly recommend these! Read more
My son is about to grow out of this sleep sack, but I am tempted to just cut open the bottom of it because it has served us so well. Very comfortable for him and very easy to clean. We keep it cold at night and were worried at first about him, but after monitoring him and checking his fingers and toes the first few nights while he was sleeping we have been able to sleep with the air on as cold as we like it. He loves it too. He always tries to grab it out of his crib now because he likes how soft it is. Wish these things kept your kids from growing up... Read more
We love Halo products, but the zipper on this SleepSack is very hard to use. Sometimes you struggle and fight with it to catch and by the time you can zip it closed you’ve woken the baby and you have to start the process all over again. Read more
My 7-month-old has been using this for about 8 weeks now, and it’s been great so far. It’s of a lower tog rating, so great for my baby who sleeps in a non air-conditioned room with the fan on. I only wish the sleeping bag zips from the feet up. With this one, you have to align the zips at the top (where the baby’s neck is), and then zip downwards towards the feet to close the bag. With a squirming or sleeping baby, sometimes the aligning of the zip tracks before it can be zipped down can be a bit of a tricky thing. Read more
Had it for about two months. Little rip at the top where the zipper meets. Not sure if this is due to my doctor chewing on it Read more
This is so cute. My girl is 18 months and this bigger size is exactly what she needed. She looks so comfortable sleeping. Read more
I purchased a medium for my son and I could easily lose him in this sleep sack it's massive. My 2 year old could wear this. I'm still saving it for when he's bigger but it's unusable as of right now at 4 months old Read more
